14 February 2007: The suspect in Monday’s shooting at the Trolley Square Mall in Salt Lake City, Utah was identified as Sulejmen TALOVIC, an 18 year-old Muslim refugee from Bosnia. TALOVIC killed five people and wounded four others at the Trolley Square mall, including two people in the parking lot as he arrived around 7:00 p.m. Monday. 52-year-old Jeffrey Walker, 28-year-old Vanessa Quinn, 28-year-old Teresa Ellis, 24-year-old Brad Franz, 15-year-old Kirsten Hinckley.
The wounded:
Carolyn Tuft, 43, (the mother of Kirsten Hinckley); Shawn Munns, 34; Stacy Hanson, 53; Alan "A.J." Walker, 16, (the son of Jeffery Walker).
Police report that TALOVIC drove to the Trolley Square shopping center, which is a 100 year-old former trolley barn, and immediately killed two people in the parking lot, followed by a third victim as he walked through the entrance. Five other people were then shot in a card and gift shop. Currently, four of the wounded remained hospitalized - 2 are in critical condition, two are in serious condition.
