Tuesday’s terror arrest in UK might have U.S. connection

28 February 2007: Police officials in the UK conducted raided a residence in Waltham Forest yesterday morning and arrested a 27 year-old Muslim man on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism. Police searched his residence, as well as a related business in Camden in connection with an ongoing terrorism investigation. The man was taken to a central London police station where he remains in custody.

According to information developed by the Northeast Intelligence Network, the arrest stems from the ongoing and far reaching investigation into a 2006 plot to commandeer airliners originating in the UK and crash them into targets inside the US.
