London to DC Flight Diverted to Boston due to in-flight Emergency

16 August 2006: The Northeast Intelligence Network is investigating the incident involving a London to Washington United Airlines flight that was diverted to Boston due to the unruly and suspicious behavior of at least one female passenger. Investigators from this agency are in contact with airline sources, who have stated that a “fully-searched” female passenger reportedly managed to obtain a screwdriver and threaten crew members.

United Airlines flight 923, carrying 182 passengers and 12 crew members from London Heathrow was escorted by fighter jets and landed at Boston-Logan airport, 450 miles from its Washington, DC destination. Additional information originating from a confidential airline source suggests that there are 2 or perhaps 3 passengers aboard the flight who have been identified as “persons of interest.” It is unknown if those individuals are related in any manner to the incident aboard the aircraft. The identities of those individuals have not been confirmed, and it is unclear if they were known to be on board, why they were not identified earlier. It is important to point out that some of the UK bomb plot operatives possessed tickets for flights originating from London’s Heathrow airport destined for US cities that were dated for today. Our investigation is continuing.
