No Ties to Terrorism?

Putting aside the “approach with caution” instructions contained on the BOLO issued by the FBI, there is an interesting nexus between 2 of the Egyptian students and the owner of a suburban Baltimore, Maryland pizza shop who was at the center of controversy last year.

El Sayed Ahmed Elsayed Ibrahim and Alaa Abd El Fattah Ali El Bahnasawi, both 20, were arrested last Thursday at the apartment of Egyptian Attia GOUDA, in a brick rowhouse on Holabird Avenue in Dundalk, Maryland. Both “missing” Egyptian students were found to be working at Safa Pizza, 2027 Merritt Avenue, Dundalk, MD, that is owned by GOUDA.

Safa Pizza and shop owner Attia GOUDA were at the center of controversy in October, 2005 when officials temporarily closed down the Baltimore Fort McHenry and Harbor Tunnels in response to a terror threat against both tunnels. During the course of their investigation, federal officials arrested several men on immigration violations stemming from the investigation of the alleged plot.

At least two of those arrested were in possession of maps of both tunnels and related information. The men, both Egyptian, were identified as Suied Mohamad-Ahamad, 25, and Mohamed Ahmed Mohamady Ismail, 30, were arrested at Safa Pizza – the same location where authorities found 2 of the 11 “missing” Egyptian students.

Research conducted by investigators from the Northeast Intelligence Network found that Debbie Schlussel of debbieschlussel.com developed the same information, and offers more background at her website.
