Missing Egyptian Students - Never Intended to Attend University

UPDATED 10 August 2006: Today, the FBI reported that six of the 11 Egyptian exchange students who failed to show up for their college program were arrested Thursday and are “now in custody.” These 11 Egyptian students have been identified as follows:

1. IBRAHIM, EL SAYED AHMED ELSAYED; DOB OF 4/29/1986, PASSPORT 954757 - CAPTURED/RESCUED
2. EL DESSOUKI, ESLAM IBRAHIM MOHAMED; DOB OF 02/21/1985, PASSPORT 1002756 - CAPTURED/RESCUED
3. EL BAHNASAWI, ALAA ABD EL FATTAH ALI; DOB OF 04/02/1986, PASSPORT 934679- CAPTURED/RESCUED
4. ABD ALLA, MOHAMED RAGAB MOHAMED; DOB OF 02/15/1984, PASSPORT 860972 - CAPTURED/RESCUED
5. EL LAKET, AHMED REFAAT SAAD EL MOGHAZI; DOB OF 09/01/1986, PASSPORT 943306
6. EL ELA, AHMED MOHAMED MOHAMED ABOU; DOB OF 02/02/1985, PASSPORT 595081- CAPTURED/RESCUED
7. EL MOGHAZY, MOHAMED IBRAHIM ELSAYED; DOB OF 08/08/1986, PASSPORT 861073
8. ABDOU, EBRAHIM MABROUK MOUSTAFA; DOB OF 02/25/1984, PASSPORT 828682 - CAPTURED/RESCUED
9. EL GAFARY, MOUSTAFA WAGDY MOUSTAFA; DOB OF 07/01/1988, PASSPORT 861673
10. MARAY, MOHAMED SALEH AHMED; DOB OF 09/12/1985, PASSPORT 862634
11. EL SHENAWY, MOHAMED IBRAHIM FOUAAD; DOB OF 08/12/1988, PASSPORT 862534

This is nation wide, with specific region of interest is the eastern seaboard–from Maine to Florida. The predicate for this action is that these individuals are in the U.S. illegally and are wanted for questioning. Approach with caution.

El Sayed Ahmed Elsayed Ibrahim, 20, and Alaa Abd El Fattah Ali El Bahnasawi, 20, were arrested at a residence in Dundalk, Maryland, outside Baltimore, by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents (about 2,125 miles from MSU).

Additionally, Chicago police detained Ahmed Mohamed Mohamed Abou El Ela, 22, at OHare International Airport. Apparently, he was attempting to book a flight to Montana, according to FBI officials. Immigration agents later took El Ela into custody.

8 August 2006: There are 11 missing Egyptian students who were due to report to Montana State University, but did not. These students arrived at JFK International Airport on 29 July 2006, but failed to continue on to Montana as scheduled.
