Sick supporters of a Muslim cop killer

Douglas J. Hagmann, Director

8 October 2007: On April 12, 1991, officer Bruno D. Soboleski, a sergeant with the Houston Police Department, was shot twice in the chest and once in the abdomen during a narcotics investigation on 7 April 1991. He died 5 days later - on 12 April 1991. Although we lost touch before his death, he was still a great friend. Bruno left behind a young wife and two young daughters. Because of Bruno, there is a lot I understand about what it’s like to be a cop, and unfortunately, a lot I understand about being a cop who is killed in the line of duty. What I don’t understand is how anyone can side with someone who murders a police officer in the line of duty.

Ten years earlier, in the early hours of December 9, 1981, Philadelphia Police officer Daniel Faulkner was shot and killed during a traffic stop by radical Muslim convert Mumia Abu Jamal. The details surrounding the murder of officer Faulkner are particularly heinous. Ultimately, officer Faulkner stopped a car driven by Mumia Abu Jamal’s brother William Cook. During the traffic stop, Cook assaulted Faulkner, during which Abu Jamal emerged from a nearby parking lot and shot Faulkner in the back. Faulkner returned fire and seriously wounded Abu-Jamal, but not before Abu Jamal advanced on Faulkner and shot the officer at close range, including the fatal shot to the officer’s face.

Due to his injuries, Abu Jamal was unable to flee, and was taken into custody by other police officers called by Faulkner before his death. The amount of physical evidence against Mumia Abu Jamal, proving his guilt, is staggering. Nonetheless, Mumia Abu Jamal has gained celebrity status since he was found guilty and sentenced to death. Meanwhile, the following big name companies and celebrities have been actively supporting Abu Jamal. The The F.O.P. has just announced the formal boycotting of the following:

1. Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Products (donators to a defense fund for the killer).

2. Actor Paul Newman, and his products (an outspoken supporter of the killer).

3. Actress Susan Sarandon (supporter of this convicted killer).

4. Filmmakers Spike Lee, Oliver Stone and John Landis (supporters of the killer).

5. Writers Norman Mailer and Joyce Carol Oates (supporters of the killer).

6. Super model Naomi Campbell (supporter of the killer).

7. Musicians Sting, David Byrne and Michael Stipe of REM, (all (supporters of the killer).

8. The Backstreet Boys who are performing “free” benefit concerts for the killer’s defense fund.

(As a side note, one of their “benefit concerts” scheduled for Baltimore , MD had to be canceled when Baltimore police officers refused to work the overtime shifts for site security at the concert).

Convicted death row killer allowed to speak at college commencements

As if there is not enough insanity with respect to speakers at college and universities, a tape recorded statement made by this heinous convicted killer, was played at the 1999 spring graduation commencement ceremony at Evergreen State College in the state of Washington. This resulted in over 800 graduates walking out and another two dozen turning their backs during the killer’s three minute diatribe of hate.
