Decapitation murder trial underway in Buffalo, NY courtroom

By Douglas J. Hagmann

The murder trial of Muzzammil “Mo” HASSAN, Muslim TV executive accused of stabbing and decapitating his wife, is underway in a Buffalo, NY courtroom. It began with jury selection on January 10th, with opening testimony starting last week. The trial resumes today.

The following contains information compiled from witness testimony provided last week and an exclusive analysis of the historical impact these proceedings will have as American jurisprudence intersects with Islamic doctrine.

Muzzammil Hassan, co-founder of Bridges TV

24 January 2011: The grisly process of stabbing his wife some 40 times, then cutting his wife’s head off, most likely while she was still conscious[i], while their three children waited inside the family’s minivan took a total of 47 seconds. The decapitation was so vicious and brutal that floor tiles under his wife’s body were damaged by the blade of the knife.

Security cameras at the Muslim television station Bridges TV in the Buffalo suburb of Orchard Park, New York captured the 12 February 2009 brutal killing of 37-year-old Aasiya HASSAN, the wife of Bridges TV founder and murder defendant Muzzammil “Mo” HASSAN. Police found the body of Aasiya HASSAN in a hallway. Her head was resting against a wall several feet away. Following his statements to police after the killing, Muzzammil  HASSAN was charged with murder in the second degree by stabbing and or beheading.

Evidence of premeditation?

About an hour before the killing, at about 5:10 p.m. that evening, security cameras at the Wal Mart store in Hamburg, NY depict a calm Muzzammil  HASSAN buying two large hunting knives, carefully and deliberately testing their sharpness on a piece of cardboard at the counter. Apparently satisfied, he bought the knives and exited the store. [Read more...]

Would-be Ontario Muslim terrorist denied bail

21 January 2011: An investigation that began on 17 November 2010 when police from Pembroke, Ontario were called to investigate an assault of a woman who sought safety at a Pembroke womens shelter turned into an investigation of planned Islamic terrorism. Based on the police investigation, Matin Abdul STANIKYZ, 24, an Afghan national, was charged by the RCMP’s anti-terrorism squad with attempting to possess an explosive substance, counseling to commit theft, uttering a threat to cause death and threatening to burn, destroy or damage personal property.

The assault victim was an employee of Atomic Energy of Canada, Limited (AECL) located at Chalk River Laboratories. She told authorities STANIKYZ arrived in Toronto, Canada in November 2009, where he lived with his brother and sister-in-law for six months. Later, she moved with him to Pembroke when she was hired by AECL.

According to court documents, STANIKYZ allegedly asked the woman to obtain explosive materials so he could detonate a bomb at CFB Petawawa, a military installation located about 100 miles from Ottawa, where he wanted to kill or injure upwards of 100 people at that location. The female alleges that she secretly recorded the conversation that reportedly took place in July, 2010. She further alleges that  STANIKYZ expressed his desire to become a suicide bomber or infiltrating the Canadian military as an interpreter in Afghanistan. His ultimate objective in the latter intended course, according to the allegations, was to lead Canadian troops into an enemy ambush. He reportedly said that he does not care if he dies and that if he killed a non-Muslim in the process,  he would be considered a martyr.

The female, who advised police that she was concerned for her safety, alleged that STANIKYZ became very religious and threatened to kill her. She also alleges that STANIKYZ described himself as a Taliban and al Qaeda supporter and considered Canadians to be the enemy. She further alleges that STANIKYZ wanted to kill people at CFB Petawawa as the “people there are getting ready to fight in his country of Afghanistan.”

Yesterday, Justice Timothy Ray upheld the December 2010 decision by Justice of the Peace Richard Sculthorpe to deny bail, ruling that STANIKYZ poses a flight risk and that refusal of bail is necessary to protect the public’s safety. He will remain in custody at the Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre.

DHS: Public awareness or indoctrination?

By Douglas J. Hagmann, Director

21 January 2011: As a professional investigator and undercover surveillance specialist serving the corporate world, my assignments have required me to stay at hotels and motels throughout the northeastern United States in excess of 150 nights per year over the last two years alone. Traveling with another investigator, we’ve spent a great deal of time in motels in the metro New York City area as well as other large cities in densely populated areas. Depending on the assignment, circumstances or even the type of accommodations (those that have limited pre-dawn access to the front desk, for instance), we’ve sometimes paid our bill in advance with cash. For lack of need as well as various other reasons, we don’t identify ourselves as investigators upon check-in.

Still capture from DHS "awareness video"

Working undercover or long hours in cramped spaces, we’ve often checked in to motels looking disheveled due to the wear of the road or the nature of the assignment.  As a strict matter of routine, we’ve always carried our expensive surveillance equipment to our room rather than keeping it inside of a vehicle more vulnerable to theft.  Also, depending on the type of assignment,  we frequently prepare or modify the equipment in our room for its upcoming use. That sometimes involves the use of small hand tools, wires, extra batteries, and other items that might not normally be considered standard travel items for the normal business professional.

Preparing for the assignment, we’ve often left maps and other notes in the cramped confines of our hotel rooms while leaving the room for breakfast, lunch supper or just for some “down time,” depending on the times we needed to be on assignment. While we always place the “do not disturb” sign on the door while away, we’ve noticed that does not always stop housekeeping from entering the room in our absence.

I am providing the above account as necessary background in response to the newly expanded U.S. Department of Homeland Security “Commercial Facilities Sector Training and Resources” program, accessible at the DHS website at this link, which includes a nine minute, 17 second “training” video for hotel workers. This “awareness” video is disturbingly generic - perhaps deliberately so - and contains numerous generalities that do not comport with the level of actual intelligence we have with regard to threats in this venue.

I believe that most intelligence professionals will be critical of the video and the ancillary information provided by the DHS based on the above. I further believe that many historians will see this and other related videos as having some of the same traits and qualities of propaganda films that were designed to make spies out of ordinary citizens, but for all of the wrong reasons.

The best assessment I’ve seen that addresses these concerns of this initiative is the excellent analysis of the DHS program by Paul Joseph Watson at this link, which I encourage everyone to read. As pointed out by Mr. Watson, “[this] video equates people who use cash or have a distrust of credit cards as suspicious and potential terrorists.”

Perhaps most importantly, Mr. Watson argues that the public [is] “being indoctrinated to assume the role of domestic spies reporting on their friends and neighbors as America sinks deeper into a decaying police state.” After watching the video, with particular attention to the areas of focus on what should be considered suspicious activity, I agree with Mr. Watson that the DHS video indeed “instigates paranoia by turning everyday activity into potential terrorist warning signs.”

At some point over the last decade, we’ve turned from focusing on the real enemy - those who want to cause us carnage and destruction - to each other. Note that in the now infamous MIAC report and the DHS Lexicon of Domestic Extremists there are no mentions or references to Islamic or Muslim threats. Instead, the DHS has engaged in the demonization of American patriots, making such individuals and groups the targets of domestic investigation.

Although this process admittedly began in its current incarnation under the previous administration, it was not until Janet Napolitano and this administration pulled out all of the stops to distill and distort the identity of the real terrorists, instead turning on those who have long been considered to be true American patriots. The proof, as well as the intent, is contained in the various memos and DHS publications over the last few years.

The deployment of backscatter x-ray machines at airports and coming soon to other transportation points, malls, stadiums, and areas of populated gatherings, the increased scrutiny of Second Amendment advocates, Christian conservatives, Constitutionalists, opponents of illegal immigration and others represent an increasing evisceration of our civil rights, liberties and freedoms.

The near breathtaking acceleration of initiatives like the one described above should be enough for most reasonable people to question the motives of our government, and this administration in particular.

That being the case, an unexpected visit by a hotel maid of our unoccupied room, especially after seeing this video, might result in a 4:00 am visit to our hotel room by some SWAT team. And we’re the good guys.

Inspire Magazine - al Qaeda’s January 2011 Issue

Inspire - the magazine for the discerning Muslim terrorist

20 January 2011: Earlier this month, the publicity faction of al Qaeda of the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) posted their third edition of Inspire, the glossy magazine geared toward Muslim terrorists and terrorists wannabes of the West. It is promoted and accessible on a variety of Islamic terrorist websites, including some hosted in the U.S.  Judging by the overall penetration of this publication in Western countries based on the increasing level of English language commentaries, the publication is gaining quite a following.

This issue consists of 67 pages, including the standard columns and articles that appear to be a staple of the publication. To those in the West who continue to believe that Islam is a religion hijacked by the few who evolve into terrorists out of desperation, poverty or oppression, the doctrine written by respected Islamic scholars that is contained in this publication should change the minds of the reasonable. It provides valuable insight into the doctrine, purpose and intent of true Islam, complete with quotes from the Qu’ran.

This issue also contains instructions of various methods to destroy buildings, although all of the ideas and methods suggested was determined to be easily accessed on open sources. From a counter-terrorism prospective, the article provides specific insight into what various suspicious activities and items that law enforcement officers, landlords, building managers and ordinary citizens should be looking for.

The ease in which the magazine has become available to Muslims in North America could be, and perhaps should be the focus of an investigation itself. This publication appears to enjoy unmolested distribution in the U.S., while the assets of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, in combined efforts with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency,  continue to pursue and seize websites for copyright infringement.

The Northeast Intelligence Network is making the issue available for download. Simply use your moue to RIGHT CLICK here for the PDF file to save it to your computer. (Warning: This is a large file - 13 MB)

Update: Stuxnet - as we reported

by Sean Osborne

UPDATE 16 January 2011: Israel Tests on Worm Called Crucial in Iran Nuclear Delay

1 December 2010: (initial report) Speculations on Stuxnet’s national point of origin have run as rampant as the trojan malware has within the Iranian nuclear weapons infrastructure since the discovery of the super cyber weapon by the Belarus security firm VirusBlokAda on 17 June 2010. The vast majority of those subject-matter-expert commentaries leading corporate media-driven speculations have centered on Israel and its secretive military intelligence Unit 8200 as that point of origin.

One of those so-called experts, Richard Falkenrath, a former Senior Director of Policy and Plans with the United States Office of Homeland Security, was on Bloomberg Television as recently as September 24th pointing a very accusative finger at Israel. When asked directly by the interviewer what were the chances that the United States was the nation-state of origin Falkenrath responded(at the 1:57 mark of the linked video), “It is theoretically impossible that the U.S. government did this, but in my judgment it is a very remote possibility. More likely is, frankly, Israel. That Israel did it.

Richard Falkenrath needs to have a conversation or two with his former government peers, or at the least with the New York Times’s David E. Sanger about an article he wrote a full 17 months prior to the discovery of Stuxnet. Published by the Times on 10 January 2009 Sanger’s article, headlined “U.S. Rejected Aid for Israeli Raid on Iranian Nuclear Site,” clearly references the United States as the point of origin of Stuxnet during the last year of the administration of President George W. Bush.

Quoting Sanger’s article:

President Bush deflected a secret request by Israel last year for specialized bunker-busting bombs it wanted for an attack on Iran’s main nuclear complex and told the Israelis that he had authorized new covert action intended to sabotage Iran’s suspected effort to develop nuclear weapons, according to senior American and foreign officials…. The White House denied that request outright, American officials said, and the Israelis backed off their plans, at least temporarily. But the tense exchanges also prompted the White House to step up intelligence-sharing with Israel and brief Israeli officials on new American efforts to subtly sabotage Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, a major covert program that Mr. Bush is about to hand off to President-elect Barack Obama.”

Stuxnet. Made in the USA.

For all of two years now the big remaining Stuxnet mystery has been hiding in plain sight, and now the operationally deceptive embedded “fingerprints” within the lines of Stuxnet’s code suggesting an Israeli origin are moot. And, for their part, the Israeli authorities don’t seem to have any problem with such misdirection exercises. The Israeli’s might even consider them to have some inherent entertainment value. From an intelligence perspective they do have that quality.

Interestingly, it was also the New York Times’s David E. Sanger who also informed the world in another article, published 29 September 2009, of a team of Symantec researcher’s discovery of a Stuxnet project string code driver (b:\myrtus\src\objfre_w2k_x86\i386\guava.pdb) that contained an apparently ingenious “paternity” reference to Israel linked to the Book of Esther. This article was published just five days after Richard Falkenrath’s accusative Bloomberg TV interview. The Book of Esther tells the story of how the Jews in ancient Elam overcame a Persian plot to annihilate them and instead turned the tables on their enemies and were granted the power to preemptively annihilate their enemies anywhere in King Xerxes realm.

It just so happens that ancient Elam is the same modern day geographical location for most of the crown jewels in the Iranian nuclear weapons program. Now that’s a brilliant touch of flair the American creators of Stuxnet should receive an award for. And now it can be said that the US has finally taken a step towards rectifying all of the acts of war Iran has committed against the US since 1979 as well the murders of our Marines in Beirut and other American heroes in Lebanon.

UK on higher alert for terror attacks

By Kate Evans -Taylor

12 January 2011: The New York Times reported Saturday that British authorities “raised the level of terrorism alerts at transport hubs including railroad stations and airports on Friday,” but news here in the U.S. relative to that threat was quickly overshadowed by the mass shooting in Tucson. According to a highly placed domestic intelligence source at Scotland Yard I interviewed yesterday, there is a “deep concern over possible suicide attacks by bombers or teams of bombers, or even attacks by Muslim terrorists using firearms in conjunction with explosives.” The likelihood of these attacks appear to greater at airports, the underground rail and stations.

British authorities raised the alert level for those locations on Friday, while leaving the national terror assessment at “severe,” which is Britain’s second highest level of alert. As reported by the New York Times, holidays for counter-terrorism officials and in some police departments have been cancelled or postponed until further notice.

Additional intelligence indicates possible attack plans by Islamic terrorists against financial centers and political offices. These concerns are immediate and expected to last for the immediate future. “The concerns are based on specific intelligence from our field assets, but I will not expand on that further,” stated this source.

Dual-degree Hamas rooted program introduced into U.S. college, backed by George Soros

With funding help from George Soros, Bard College has developed a new academic program that will award dual college degrees from Bard University and Al Quds University in the Palestinian Authority. Revisionist history and more technical advice on “martyrdom operations” might be a natural progression.

By Lee Kaplan

10 January 2011: In an article dated 27 December 2010, I wrote about how Bard College President Leon Botstein is permitting a Hamas support group called the International Solidarity Movement (ISM) to operate on his college campus to train “activists” to go the Middle East as a human shield support arm for known terrorist groups like Hamas.

Rather than closing down the campus group, the first one of its kind in the U.S. on a college campus, Botstein instead defended it as part of the “free exchange of ideas.” But Bard-ISM engages in lies and deception as part of the ISM playbook, and does more than just teach propaganda to Bard’s students. The  “campus club” trains activists to assist terrorist murderers such as are found in Hamas. Some of Bard’s trainees were involved with the Gaza “Freedom Flotilla” boats.

Now further information is emerging about the judgment of Bard’s president which could be the harbinger of more ruinous effects on American post-secondary education across the nation.

A historical look at violence at the U.S. Capitol

By Douglas J. Hagmann

9 January 2011: Although yesterday’s shooting incident did not take place at the U.S. Capitol, it was an attack on one its members. It is interesting to take a brief look at the violence that has occurred at the Capitol building during the last century.  Because of the incidents and as the Capitol is a desirable target filled with our nation’s lawmakers, the U.S. Capitol Police force has been expanded to over 1,700 police officers, making it larger than many municipal police agencies in the United States. During the last century, two deadly incidents occurred at the Capitol building. The most recent incident of death at the Capitol occurred in 1998.
