Warning to Jewish Centers: U.S. & Canada

Posted January 6th, 2009 by Director Comments Off

6 January 2009: Despite official U.S. intelligence reports denying specific threat information as a result of Israeli action in Gaza, the Northeast Intelligence Network has confirmed increased terrorist “chatter” that specifically suggests pre-operational planning by Muslim terrorist operatives against Jewish assets and people throughout North America. “Chatter,” in the lexicon of intelligence agencies, encompasses various forms of communications, from communication intercepts to postings on Arabic language message boards.

Investigators and researchers of the Northeast Intelligence Network have seen a dramatic spike in postings on Arabic language web sites used by Islamic terrorists within the last several days. The rise of these communications is obviously in direct relation to Israel’s actions launched against Islamic terrorists in Gaza. Investigators however, have observed a disturbing change not only in the tenor of these postings, but in their specificity.

“The message being sent by Muslim terrorists considered ‘reputable’ Internet sources, as much as one could consider such sources as ‘reputable,’ is one of individual, if not collective action across the globe,” stated Douglas J. Hagmann, director of the Northeast Intelligence Network. “There is a call to action being made over the Internet by posters who have established a perceived level of legitimacy. These posters are the individuals who have achieved a following in the virtual world, based in part on their history of accuracy relative to terrorist operations and their posting history. Their message is to take action against Jews anywhere in the world, including inside the U.S., Canada and all Western countries, as well as their American backers,” stated Hagmann.

Although the intelligence value of the majority of Internet postings can be reasonably questioned, there have been notable exceptions, and it continues to be an accurate indicator of the pre-operational interests of Islamic terrorists, according to Hagmann.

“The call is to strike out against Jewish places of worship, Jewish centers, and schools, especially in the U.S.,” said Doug Hagmann. He added that the more recent postings have risen from “rallying cries to the level of authoritative directions, with the admonishment that it is the moral imperative of all practicing and faithful Muslims to strike out against the Jews, especially those living within the relative security of the U.S. I’m not sure how much more specific of a threat one might expect to get from Internet postings,” added Hagmann.

“Anyplace where Jews gather for school, worship services or social events are being described as “desirable targets,” according to these communications. Emphasis is also being placed on body count and visible carnage, including attacks against children.

Concurrent with these Internet postings on the same terrorist web sites are those of a political nature. Hagmann stated that researchers have found a consistent theme among those who voice support for HAMAS and not just for the residents of Gaza. “To the ‘reputable authors’ of these Internet web sites, there is absolutely no distinction between Palestinians living in Gaza and HAMAS. In fact, there seems to be a push for Gaza residents who are not already doing so to support HAMAS in any way possible, from providing supplies and shelter to taking a more active role.

“The enemy of my enemy…”

From reporters to ‘Middle East expert talking heads,’ the media is not portraying this situation accurately, a fact that has not gone unnoticed by terrorist supporters, especially in the West. We are seeing a growing solidarity among Muslims of all sects to rally behind what is being described as the “slaughter” of Palestinians by the Israelis. Featured prominently within these communications are reports by Western media sources such as CNN, MSNBC and the major television networks that feature video of alleged Gaza victims. Such footage is being used to inflame the sentiments of the readers of the Arabic websites, followed by instructions to readers of all Islamic sects to avenge the deaths of Muslims in Gaza.

Despite the media reports that Iran, for example, has no involvement in the Israel-Palestinian situation, there is indeed an Iranian component in this battle. Muslim terrorists from Iran are beginning to come to the aid of HAMAS in growing numbers, fueled in no small way, by recent statements from Iranian religious leaders. “To dismiss Iranian complicity in this matter is disingenuous at the very least,” stated Hagmann. The war is being characterized as a war against all Muslims, and all Muslims are being encouraged to defend their religion.

The exploitation of Western Media

Supporters of the Palestinian cause are being encouraged to describe the actions by Israeli IDF soldiers as “atrocities,” and to describe Israel’s actions using such terms as “ethnic cleansing” and “genocide.” The instructions being given to Western followers on these web sites are very explicit, stated Hagmann. “There is a previously unseen level of orchestration, even sophistication behind these instructions.”

According to Doug Hagmann, postings by participants of these terror sites are encouraging public demonstrations in every U.S. city and are even suggesting what words should be used to ‘insure sympathy’ for their cause.”

Lastly, much is being said about the upcoming Obama administration within these forums, according to sources within the Northeast Intelligence Network. There is a growing optimism that the U.S. policies toward Israel will change dramatically, favoring the Palestinians over Israel. “Allah willing, Israel will cease to exist,” wrote one poster in reference to the Obama administration.

There is a war for the minds and hearts of Americans in the media as well as the battlefields in the Middle East. If one is lost, both will be lost.

NY D.A. Source: Crime stats skewed on behalf of Muslims

* “Hate crimes” against Muslims skewed upward - many religiously motivated crimes against Jews go unrecorded.

* Cites pressure from Muslim advocacy groups

By Douglas J. Hagmann, Director

25 March 2008: A source inside the Manhattan District Attorney’s office admitted to me during a telephone conversation yesterday that “hate crimes,” specifically those occurring against Jews, are frequently omitted from such classification. Meanwhile, acts that victimize Muslims, regardless of their motivation, are usually reported as “hate crimes.” Consequently, crimes against Jews and other religions fail to garner the same media focus as crimes against Muslims and skew the figures used to track criminal motives. Although this is not a new phenomenon, it has recently been accentuated by the incident that took place on a New York subway last week.

At about 6:20 last Tuesday, March 18, 2008, 25 year-old Uria Ohana, a rabbinical assistant, was assaulted by three Muslim men inside the subway station at Fourth Avenue and Ninth Street in Park Slope. As Ohana proceeded through the turnstile, 18 year-old Ali Hussein grabbed Uria Ohana’s yarmulke from his head; Ohana gave chase, and was assaulted by Hussein’s accomplices who were shouting “Alla hu Akbar” - Arabic for “God is great.” The chase ended when Hussein was struck by a vehicle as he ran onto Fourth Avenue. Hussein’s friends abandoned him at the scene, fleeing in a late model GMC Suburban.

The incident received very little media attention, and the motive was not initially recorded as a bias or “hate crime.” This happens frequently,” admitted this source, adding that the pressure from Muslim special interest groups is much greater than from other similar organizations. “It seems that there is a far greater propensity for law enforcement to recognize and classify crimes against Muslims as motivated by religious bias, and there more pressure from watch dog groups to insure that crimes against Muslims are immediately classified as having their origins in religious bias. What it does is that it skews the actual numbers,” added this source.

He also stated that since 9/11, law enforcement officials have acquiesced to the pressure and demands by Islamic special interest groups to treat most crimes against Muslims as “religiously motivated,” even in the absence of any proof. Acts such as graffiti randomly sprayed on a mosque, for example, is classified as a “hate crime.” It does not matter that the mosque might be one of several buildings in a specific area that has been tagged or sprayed by vandals. “We are compelled to classify such acts as having a religiously motivated bias, despite evidence that would indicate otherwise. Ordinarily, people would not think it is such a big deal. But when you have many such incidents, it obviously has a significant impact on criminal statistics. It definitely skews them.”

21 November 2006: Following the attacks on America on 9/11 by Islamic terrorists, Islamic jihad has taken on various forms, not the least of which is IDEOLOGICAL JIHAD - a vital tactic of the asymmetrical warfare that is being waged against the United States and all throughout the West.

The response to the perceived threat aboard flight 300 by Muslim leaders is a clear example of the manifestation of ideological jihad, a troubling tactic used by Muslim leaders to shift people’s focus away from the actions of Islamic terrorists and make them fear a lawsuit nearly as much as possible terrorist activity. A working example of this strategy in progress can be seen in the public reaction and comments of those talking about the events that have taken place aboard U.S. Air Flight 300. Mark my words – U.S. Air flight 300 will become a “water shed event” in the history of Islamic Jihad in the United States.

“I never felt bad in my life like that, I never. Six imams. Six leaders in this country. Six scholars in handcuffs. It’s terrible.”  “They took us off the plane, humiliated us in a very disrespectful way,” -Omar Shahin, of Phoenix.

“CAIR will be filing a complaint with relevant authorities in the morning over the treatment of the imams to determine whether the incident was caused by anti-Muslim hysteria by the passengers and/or the airline crew.” Because, unfortunately, this is a growing problem of singling out Muslims or people perceived to be Muslims at airports, and it’s one that we’ve been addressing for some time.” -Ibrihim Hooper (Council on American Islamic Relations).

Suspicious activity of 6 Middle Eastern men causes delay, removal from plane

Posted November 20th, 2006 by Director No Comments »

“Don’t think for one minute that this might not be a ‘test run’ of sorts, but not the kind you think. It could well be more attempts to disarm our security apparatus through the legal system, with CAIR at the helm. Presuming that no threats to our national security was found among these men, expect them to file suit in federal court, making an issue of profiling. This is what the PC crowd has given to us here in America.” –Douglas J. Hagmann, Director (from 11/20/2006 PODCAST)

20 November 2006: Six men of Middle Eastern ethnicity were removed from an airplane at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport earlier this evening. Officials said that a passenger aboard the plane notified the flight crew of their behavior via a note passed to a flight attendant. According to witnesses, the men were acting in a manner that caused the passengers and flight crew to be concerned about their intentions. The six men, on board U.S. Airways Flight 300 scheduled to fly from Minneapolis to Phoenix, refused to deplane when requested by the flight crew. They were ultimately taken off the plane after it returned to the gate and are being questioned by authorities. The flight, scheduled to depart the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport at 5:15 p.m. CT, left at 8:19 p.m. without further incident. Our investigation is continuing.

From $1 M Bond to $0: Two CMU students freed on own recognizance

Posted November 9th, 2006 by Director No Comments »

9 November 2006: The two Carnegie Mellon students arrested about 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning - about 14 hours before a scheduled football game - for trying to break in to Heinz Field, had their bond reduced from $1 million straight cash bond to a recognizance ticket. The incident followed a well publicized threat concerning terrorist attacks on stadiums, however the FBI dismissed any possible terrorism connections to either student. Authorities now say they believe the two men were trying to sneak into the stadium so to make a homemade music video.

There was no reference to the two positive hits for explosive residue discovered by police dogs during a search of their vehicle.

$1 MILLION bond for 2 Pittsburgh college students attempting Stadium breakin

Posted November 6th, 2006 by Director No Comments »

By Douglas J. Hagmann

 • Initial field investigation tested positive for explosive residue in vehicle
 • Pair had video camera, other “items of interest” in vehicle

6 November 2006: Two Carnegie Mellon students were arrested shortly before 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning after they were caught trying to enter Heinz Field just hours before a scheduled pro-football game at the stadium. Police arrested Sudeep PAUL, 21, of Woodbury, NY and Anand Shankar DARVASULA, 20 of Morgan Hill, California after surveillance cameras caught them trying to get into the stadium.

Durvasula was charged with criminal trespass for scaling a fence outside a locked gate at Heinz Field, and Paul faces charges of criminal conspiracy for assisting in the attempted break-in. Both men were arraigned in front of District Magistrate Gene Riccardi and are being held in the Allegheny County, PA jail on $1 million straight bond each.

The incident began when Heinz Field security officers saw the two men on surveillance cameras opening an exterior door at Gate B, but did not go inside the stadium. Security officials stated that the men were then seen pointing to other areas of the stadium and walking next to Gate 5, picked up a folding chair and set it next to the fence. PAUL and DURVASULA were then observed sneaking to other gates but returning back to Gate 5. At that time, PAUL and DURVASULA allegedly returned to Gate 5 where DURVASULA used the chair to scale the fence, reaching over with the fence with his right arm. It was at that point that a Heinz Field security supervisor approached the men, who attempted to walk away. Both PAUL and DURVASULA were taken into custody by police.

Police identified a late model silver Lexis Sports Utility Vehicle parked near the stadium at Art Rooney Avenue at North Shore Drive near the stadium and traced the ownership to Kumar PAUL, 51, of Woodbury, NY. Police searched the vehicle and found “unidentified suspicious items” inside the vehicle, along with a video camera and tripod.  Two bomb dogs were used to check the SUV for explosives. Although none were found, the criminal complaint filed against PAUL and DARVASULA states that “two different dogs responded positively for hits of explosives” inside of PAUL’s Lexus Sports Utility Vehicle.

When interviewed by police, both men stated that they were Carnegie Mellon (CMU) students and said that they had tickets for the Steelers game on Sunday. They told police that they “decided to check things out so they knew where to go for the game.”  Both men offered additional and conflicting accounts for their activities at the stadium Sunday morning.

Islamic radicalization threat to our homeland

Posted October 25th, 2006 by Director No Comments »

25 October 2006: When Dr. Walid Phares speaks about terrorism threats, we listen. On September 20, 2006, Dr. Walid PHARES delivered important testimony before the Subcommittee on Homeland Security at the US House of Representatives about the threat to the US homeland by Islamic terrorists. Dr. Phares outlined two very important points in his testimony:

1. The little ability of the public to identify threats since the Terror ideology hasn’t officially been identified by the Government yet.

2. That Law Enforcement and Homeland Security cannot mobilize on a large scale to identify Jihadism because the latter has inserted itself under the political freedoms of the country. It is ‘protected’ by advocacy groups, legal defense and is funded both domestically and by foreign regimes and organizations.

Testimony Excerpt:  ”Your concerns about ‘radicalization’ as a threat to U.S. Homeland Security are warranted. For after twenty five years of studying the ideology and the evolution of the doctrines that produced the self-declared Jihadist movement (al haraka al Jihadiya) which has declared, waged and continues to conduct war against the United States and other democracies, I conclude along with a number of colleagues in this field of expertise that the Terrorism America and its allies are facing in the War on Terror, is a direct product of this radical ideology. The 19 men, who massacred 3,000 US and other citizens on September 11, belong to al Qaeda and the latter is a self declared Salafist-Jihadist organization. Every single case of Terrorism uncovered on U.S. territory, since 9/11, was motivated by this ideology.

To name a few: The Virginia Paintball gang, the dirty bomb case, the shoe bomber case, al Qaeda’s John Walker, Azzam al Amriki AKA Adam Gadahn, the Oregon case, the Virginia multiple cases, the Jihadi charities, etc. This ideology was omnipresent in the cases than ended with court sentences and those which didn’t; in the Sheikh Abdel Rahman case of 1993; in the statements made by the Zarqawi networks while assassinating innocent civilians; in all speeches by Usama Bin Laden, Ayman al Zawahiri from 1998 till now; and on all Jihadi web sites in all languages: one global common thread is always omnipresent: The Jihadi ideology. And in parallel to al Qaeda’s radical doctrine another ideology of Jihadism follows the teachings of Ayatalollah Khomeini and is embodied by the public speeches of Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmedinijad and Hezbollah. Hence, the ideologies that produces ‘Radicalization,’ are the Jihadist ones. They are of two main ‘trees,’ the Jihadi Salafist and the Jihadi Khomeinist. These doctrines, taught and disseminated worldwide and in America, are the producers of the ‘Jihadists’ (al Jihadiyun) who have declared war and waged it against the United States both overseas and in the homeland. Jihadism is the ideological common identity of terror groups al Qaeda, Salafi Combat Group of the Maghreb, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Jemaa Islamiya of south Asia, the Taliban of Afghanistan, Laskar Taiba of Pakistan, the Mahakem Islamiya of Somalia, and other Salafi-Wahabi groups internationally, in addition to Hezbollah. Jihadism was the inspiration for the 1990s attacks, 9/11, Madrid, London, Beslan, Mumbai, Riyadh, Casablanca, the Sunni Triangle in Iraq and other violence associated with Terrorism. Hence at this stage of the War on Terror, the ideology behind the threat has been identified and thus should be addressed.”
