The Christopher Paul case: a potential case study of the Islamization of America

“At last inspection, Mr. Al-Akhras and Mr. Mirza, we have not seen any torch-carrying Christian fundamentalists beating down the doors of the neighborhood mosques in Columbus over the arrest of Christopher PAUL. Conversely, the element of the American public paying attention to the strategies and tactics of the duplicitous can feel the heat of the torches you carry.”Douglas J. Hagmann

13 April 2007: Everyone in America needs to understand that our enemy, Islamists whose goal is nothing less than turning the US into an Islamic state, divide and destroy us from within and cripple us as a world power, are here en masse and actively working toward this goal. Over the past generation and despite the September 11, 2001 attacks, Islamists with malevolent intentions have been welcomed into America and coddled with classic Western naivety, to the peril of every citizen of this country.

It is incumbent for everyone to understand that our enemy has adopted a two-prong approach that is enjoying significant and unprecedented success. First, we have Muslim “activists,” posing as proponents of religious equality using our own laws and freedoms to provide practical and legal sanctuary to a secondary group of Islamists. This second group consists of the actual warriors of Islamic jihad. The latter lack the polished sophistication and patience of the former, and are training to conduct actual terrorist operations in the U.S.

While the actual jihadist foot soldiers are actively engaged in survival and paramilitary training, teaching other followers their skills, and disseminating instructional materials over the Internet, through mosques, Islamic centers, Muslim bookstores and other outlets in America, the former group runs “operational interference” through the use of well polished “good-will ambassador” who are duping otherwise educated and reasonable Americans, from the citizens at large to members of the media, and even our own politicians and law enforcement officials, into believing that the intentions of both groups are benign. Nothing can be further from the truth, and the longer we ignore this strategy, the more effective this strategy becomes.

This strategy for the Islamization of America needs to be understood and exposed in order to be defeated. Recent and historical examples of this strategy at work are plentiful, and have recently taken on a more aggressive approach since the 1990’s. Perhaps the best current example of this strategy can be observed with the case of Christopher PAUL, the Columbus, Ohio man arrested this week on terror related charges. PAUL, 43 a U.S. citizen and self-proclaimed follower of Islamic jihad, faces a number of charges that would identify him as a member of the latter group previously referenced. Although he has not yet been convicted of any crime, it is of critical importance to observe the process of this criminal prosecution from its inception to identify the tactics I reference herein.

Immediately following the announcement of PAUL’S arrest, Ahmad Al-Akhras, vice chair of the Columbus chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, has publicly voiced concern over a “potential public backlash against the Muslim community,” while concurrently planting the seeds of doubt about the government’s case in the minds of anyone who will listen. According to Al-Akhras, he knows the defendant and claims that the charges are “out of character.” He has publicly described PAUL as “a loving husband,” adding that his wife and parents “are a good family.”

Without regard to the guilt or innocence of PAUL, it is important to note that the public posture of Al-Akhras is one of possible or anticipated victimization of the Muslim community in Columbus. This victimization status has been an instrumental tactic in shifting the focus from the event (in this case, the arrest of Christopher PAUL), to a misguided perception that lacks any historical foundation. Nonetheless, it is the cornerstone by which the public case of religious persecution will be built.

Next, Adnan Mirza, the executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations in Columbus, Ohio, has gone on the record to state that “it’s unfair to judge the whole Muslim community based on allegations against one individual,” also noting, “Thus far we haven’t heard of any threats.” Said Mirza, “We all try to be a little bit more vigilant. I would think the community has come closer because we all are viewed with suspicious eyes.” Once again, despite the complete absence of any such public outcry against the Muslim community in Columbus or elsewhere, an advocate for the Muslim community is shifting the focus from the charges against PAUL and advancing the notion of religious victimization and profiling.

The guilt or innocence of Christopher PAUL will be decided in and confined to a court of law based on the weight of evidence against him. Meanwhile, the unrestrained court of public opinion is being actively and effectively manipulated by unsubstantiated allegations of religious discrimination, profiling, and the completely unfounded characterizations of a non-existent “lynch-mob” mentality by Americans against the Muslim community at large.

At last inspection, Mr. Al-Akhras and Mr. Mirza, we have not seen any torch-carrying Christian fundamentalists beating down the doors of the neighborhood mosques in Columbus over the arrest of Christopher PAUL. Conversely, the element of the American public paying attention to the strategies and tactics of the duplicitous can feel the heat of the torches you carry.

Bomb attacks in Algeria, explosions in Morocco: an omen of things to come

11 April 2007: As Moroccan security forces hunted for as many as a dozen potential suicide bombers in and around Casablanca, bombings attributed to al Qaeda killed 30 people in the Algerian capital of Algiers today, raising fears of an increase of Islamic violence worse than that country experienced in the 1990s.

One of the blasts, believed to be a suicide bombing, ripped part of the facade off the prime minister’s headquarters in the center of Algiers. A second bomb hit Bab Ezzouar on its eastern outskirts. The Islamic Maghreb, an al Qaeda group formerly known as the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC), issued an Internet statement claiming responsibility for both the Algerian and Moroccan bombings, and posted pictures of three suicide bombers labeled as “martyrs.”

Violence in Algeria began in 1992 after a parliamentary election that was set up to have an Islamist political party win was scrapped. Up to 200,000 people were killed in the ensuing bloodshed, mitigated only by government amnesty issued to the Islamic “radicals.”

Accounts of the incidents in the Moroccan Daily Aujourd’hui le Maroc said that the events amounted to a “world war.” While some sources in Morocco suggest that the recent bombings were the work of Moroccans working alone, Mohamed Darif, a specialist on Islamism in Morocco, suggested that the bombings had foreign links, specifically to al Qaeda.

Another airport discovery of explosives - third in as many weeks

By Douglas J. Hagmann, Director

11 April 2007: First, there were two “flash-bang” grenades - the type that create a bright flash, loud noise and smoke, that were found in a waste container by a cleaning crew on Friday, March 30, 2007 in a men’s rest room at Reagan National Airport in Washington, DC.

Then, on Sunday, April 8, 2007, a “modified firecracker,” was found in a bathroom near the baggage claim area at terminal one at the San Antonio International Airport. In that instance, one official described the device as being “intentionally placed” where it was found, and looked like a large firecracker with wires exposed and “other items” attached to the device.

On Tuesday, April 10, 2007, two shotgun shells were found in a trash can inside of the men’s restroom at the airport in Manchester, New Hampshire. The discovery resulted in a portion of the Manchester Airport being evacuated, delaying a few outbound flights and requiring the re-screening of about 100 people who had already been screened by TSA officials.

An inquiry with the Transportation Security Administration by the Northeast Intelligence Network for their assessment on these events remains pending at this time.

“Worldwide Caution” issued for all American citizens

11 April 2007: The U.S. Department of State remains concerned about the continued threat of terrorist attacks, demonstrations and other violent actions against U.S. citizens and interests overseas. Current information suggests that al-Qaeda and affiliated organizations continue to plan terrorist attacks against U.S. interests in multiple regions, including Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. These attacks may employ a wide variety of tactics to include assassinations, kidnappings, hijackings and bombings.

According to the advisory issued by the Department of State, terrorists “may elect to use conventional or non-conventional weapons, and target both official and private interests.” The advisory also identified potential targets as high-profile sporting events, residential areas, business offices, clubs, restaurants, places of worship, schools, public areas and locales where Americans gather in large numbers, including during holidays. Financial or economic targets of value may also be considered as possible venues.

Premature Withdrawal from Iraq- A Huge Mistake

By Randy Taylor, Independent Analyst

9 April 2007: Withdrawing from Iraq before the mission is accomplished will be a huge mistake that will cost America and the rest of the free world dearly. To leave too soon will indicate defeat and will bring the jihad and Islamic terrorism in full force to our country.

One would have to imagine the United States withdrawing from Europe before they destroyed the Third Reich in order to even draw a similar comparison. But even comparison lacks much of the required criteria as an early withdrawal from a terrorist occupied country like Iraq, present day. Islam has a much larger and stronger presence in America than the Germans did during World War II. Therein lies a very critical fact.

We are being inundated daily in the United States by Islam and their assault upon America. They aren’t very subtle either and this will continue because we are too weak to do anything about it. Islamic organizations are springing up everywhere and are engaged in a full out recruiting effort. They are working the prisons, the gangs, the ghettos, the Senate, the Congress, local and State officials and anyone else they think can benefit Islam, contribute to the Islamic thrust or draw attention to Islam. These organizations are very well funded by Middle Eastern oil revenues, primarily the Saudis. They are building an army right here, right now.

What I just described is the “peaceful,” intelligent assault, using our own laws, freedoms and liberties against us just as Osama bin Laden warned they would.

Now let’s look at the violent assault that is coming our way again. If you have ever been confronted by a vicious dog, whatever you did when confronted gives you all the understanding you need to understand Islam and what will happen here. If you stood your ground, chances are good that the dog backed down. If not and you were bitten, at least you saw it coming and were able to defend yourself in the best way you could. if you ran, however, the dog became emboldened by your fear, chased you down and attacked you with even greater viciousness. That is Islam in a nutshell.

If we cut and run before the dog is contained, that dog will chase us down, right back to our very cities and towns here and attack us. As someone who monitors discussions within the al Qaeda and Islamic militant forums and chat rooms every day, the tide of change has become apparent and blatantly obvious. Since the Democrats took over the House and have shown their traitorous colors to the Islamic world, the Islamic militants have become emboldened. It is obvious through their words and even their graphics. We are now known as “The United States of Losers.”. They mock us and they are already claiming victory over us.

To gain a glimpse into the future, even with their claims of victory in Iraq and Afghanistan, the killing still continues. This should be a huge RED FLAG that leaving in defeat isn’t going to stop any killing. In fact the killing will increase because there is no possible way that the Iraqi government, the infant and barely recognizable democracy can survive. There is violence all across the country and not all of this is aimed or executed against our coalition troops. The number of civilians being killed daily is at an unprecedented level and as of today, the Shi’te cleric Muqtada al-Sadr has openly declared war on the US troops. This of course should not come as a surprise considering his close relationship with Iran. This announcement is just one of a continuing series of distractions perpetrated by Iran to draw world attention away from the Iranian nuclear issue. The timing is impeccable since they released the fifteen British sailors and need another distraction.

I fully expect a huge rash of violence this next few weeks with the media focus shifting away from Iran and onto Sadr this week. If we were wise we would focus on the relationship between Iran and Muqtada al-Sadr this week, not the former. Focus on who and what is behind Muqtada al-Sadr and who is pulling his strings.

None of this should come as a surprise to anyone paying attention, but it certainly illustrates my points. Iraq is not in control either by the United States or even the Iraqis. Iran and Syria are manipulating both sides against each other and will continue to do so. The country is many years from being under control and if we pull out to soon, the soldier’s lives and Iraqis lives lost will have been in vain. The country will fall into control of The Islamic State of Iraq (formerly MSC, formerly al Qaeda in Iraq). But then again, the Shi’ites aren’t likely to be pleased with this and the country will erupt in a full blown civil war that will last for years, maybe decades or even centuries.

Meanwhile one has to realize that this condition plays into the hands of al Qaeda, Iran and Islam in two very large ways.

1. It will be claimed and viewed as a defeat of the United States by Iran, Islam and al Qaeda and that viewpoint will stretch to the rest of the world

2. From that point forward the propaganda will state that the United States went into Iraq and then left the people of Iraq when they needed us the most.

These facts will alienate us from all Muslim countries and will also alienate us from our European allies. Yes, although they slam us daily around the world, these people fully expect us to see this through. You remember the “Court of World Opinion?” It fully applies here. We will watch al-Jazeera broadcasts for years to come of the mountains of dead bodies of men, women and children, and the US will be to blame.

Remember when you run, the dog chases you.

Islam, Iran and al Qaeda will attack the United States mainland. Since we alienated our allies and started a conflict that we didn’t finish, we will get no sympathy of help from anyone. You have to remember that Iran is working underground 24 hours a day building nuclear weapons. Just twenty small nuclear weapons deployed within the United States would place us into such disarray that we would be easy prey for any country or group of countries to destroy. If five or six small nuclear devices were detonated tomorrow in selected cities across the country, this country would go down hard.

We would have the obvious casualties most likely in the high hundreds of thousands or even millions, the electrical grids would go down, communications would be out, some planes would crash due to electronics being disabled by the blast(s), transportation would come to a stand-still, the stock markets would crash, to name just a few of the problems we would face. Then the terrorists would focus on first responders, hospitals, schools and churches namely anywhere where people would go for comfort or aid. While all of this is going on the random terrorist attacks would be in full swing.

You say… “This will never happen.” Well let’s look at that closely. You could have sold me that story in the forties when American were Americans and were willing to do whatever was necessary to defend this great nation. You cannot sell that to me now. We are not the country we used to be. We could be, but we refuse to do so. Our priorities are not in order.

I was looking at some photos from cities in Bosnia from decades ago. They once had beautiful cities and beautiful countries that looked much like our major cities and towns here in the United States. Then war came to these regions. The initial wars were devastating enough but the lingering fighting, the continued guerrilla warfare and civil unrest destroyed what the initial war didn’t. When I looked at those photos I could see just how easily our country can become engulfed in such a conflict. Some large attacks followed by years and years of guerrilla attacks would make this beautiful country that I live in look like these other countries. It is entirely possible and at this point in time unfortunately it is also probable.

If we run from the terrorists, they will chase us down and attack us. When we run, we end up here. As when they chase us, they will end up here. Peace through defeat or surrender is not peace at all unless the victorious are reasonable. Islam and Islamic terrorism are not reasonable. I don’t want to face, fight and kill these people daily here in this country. I will if need be, but I’d prefer to destroy them while we are currently engaged in fighting them overseas.

Kind of makes sense to stay and finish the job doesn’t it?

Be safe. Stay vigilant.

“Hoax” device found at San Antonio International Airport Sunday afternoon

9 April 2007: It is being described by authorities as a “modified firecracker,” and was found in a bathroom near the baggage claim area at terminal one early Sunday afternoon. One official described the device as being “intentionally placed” where it was found, and looked like a large firecracker with wires exposed and “other items” attached to the device, although this source did not want to describe the item in further detail due to the ongoing nature of the investigation. This official also declined to say whether the item contained explosive material or was inert. Authorities do not know who placed the device, but are now calling it a “hoax.”

Dogs trained to locate explosives searched the area extensively, but no other items were found. Airport operations were only slightly affected and returned to normal by 4:00 p.m. local time.

Wars and Rumors of Wars

By Sean Osborne, Associate Director, Military Affairs

April 9, 2007 This is a continuation of “The Iranian Ganglion: A Current Assessment,” albeit it is from a perspective of analysis and reflection upon the continuing statements of the former Chief of Staff of the Russian armed forces, Col. Gen. Leonid Grigor’yevich Ivashov referenced earlier. Most readers of the Judeo-Christian faith will recognize the title of this installment as deriving from the prophetic words delivered by Christ during His Sermon on the Mount of Olives. The applicability of these words for our time is striking, if not foreboding, especially when taken in the context of Ezekiel, chapters 38 and 39. Russia and Iran in such close proximity and military alliance is an unmistakable benchmark in an era of world history which has seen the Jews re-gathered into the land of Israel and in control of Jerusalem - as was also foretold in detail.

The comments of this senior Russian career military officer in this context are most disturbing, and a much closer look is warranted. Reportedly, General Ivashov was the Chief-of-Staff of the Russian armed forces when 9/11 occurred. General Ivashov’s biography is that of a consummate, professional, career Russian military officer. Yet, from his mouth propagates the core basis of the ludicrous nonsense coming from the political left and the loony conspiracy theorists, which stands in stark contrast to the military and strategic principles of the Russian Military Doctrine published in April 2000. The propagated nonsense asserts that the events of September 11, 2001 were actions initiated by the United States government, that Islamist terrorism is a non-existent figment of our imagination and every other social, political and economic force in the world is part of a grand scheme, a grand conspiracy of America and her allies to conquer and enslave the world.

At this point some folks might be rolling off their easy chair in laughter. Folks like Cindy Sheehan, Nancy Pelosi and other friend of Hugo, Mahmud and Bashar. If this is you as well, then when you regain control of yourself – consider the following. This Russian general, his senior leadership and their allies really believe these things are truth. This Russian mindset and worldview meshes quite seamlessly with that of the Shia’ apocalyptic views of the Iranian regime. This senior Russian military officer is saying publicly that which manifests how they truly view America, Israel and the West in general.

Once again Russia is aligning itself not with the West but with the East, and now with the South, with Islamofascism. The tangible proof of the real Russian agenda is manifest in the ongoing nuclear proliferation and massive arms sales to the Islamic Republic of Iran and their socialist Alawite Shia’  allies in Syria. Russia has joined the Axis of Evil by any measure applied. Russia has aligned itself with those who seek to destroy our way of life. We had better take notice because while Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons, Russia already has them in the thousands. Those Russian weapons are now the effective global strategic depth of Iran and Syria. Nancy Pelosi, did you hear what I just said?

General Ivashov has expounded upon his comments which I reported on in the article linked above. He was quoted by the Russian Interfax news agency yesterday saying that not only are US plans to attack Iran still on track for this month, but that our strike will include a nuclear first strike upon Iran. Citing “our data” - which can only mean Russian government intelligence assessments General Ivashov said:

Combat nuclear weapons may be used for bombing. This will result in radioactive contamination of the Iranian territory, which could possibly spread to neighboring countries.

Do you hear that? This Russian government mouthpiece has said that America intends to launch Armageddon. General Ivashov continued, “If Iran strikes back at Israel with missiles, Tel-Aviv is likely to use nuclear weapons on Iran.

Source: http://www.interfax.ru/e/B/0/28.html?id_issue=11708925

If this is not a Russian government sanctioning of an Iranian or even a Russian-Iranian-Syrian preemptive strike upon America, Israel and our Western allies, then I do not know what is. I do know that the existential danger we face today is as great as anytime since the Cuban Missile crisis, perhaps all the more so.

Landmark Indiana church destroyed by fire - arson suspected

8 April 2007: The 83 year-old St. Anne Catholic Church on Broad Street in New Castle, Indiana was destroyed by a fire yesterday morning, the day before one the holiest of Christian holidays. Preliminary indications suggest that this was an act of arson.

Firefighters were called to the church, a downtown landmark in this eastern Indiana city, at about 7:45 a.m. Saturday morning, finding the church engulfed in flames. The fire appears to have been started in the basement. When firefighters arrived, stained-glass windows were shattering and shingles were from the roof as the fire roared through the interior of the structure.

“This is a dastardly deed for a church to be criminalized on the eve of one of the holiest holidays,” State Fire Marshal Roger Johnson said.

The Northeast Intelligence Network is following this incident closely.

UPDATE: Muslim women continue to claim “religious discrimination”

“I’m a trained sniper and proud of it”7 April 2007: Kimberly Suzanne Al-HOMSI (pictured above), one of two women detained and questioned about their overt surveillance activities at Love Field on February 25, 2007 and again two days later, admits having a personal friendship with convicted Muslim terrorist Wadih EL HAGE and his wife April. Wadih El Hage, a former secretary for Osama bin Laden, was convicted of conspiracy in the bombings of two U.S. embassies in East Africa prior to 9/11. Rebecca Lopez, a reporter for WFAA-TV reports that despite that conviction and Al-Homsi’s admission that she has known El Hage and his wife for over 20 years and continues to “support” the convicted terrorist “110%” she has no ties to terrorism and in fact, is a victim of Muslim profiling. “He bombed two U.S. embassies. I have no comment on that. I wasn’t there. I don’t know the circumstances but I still support my brother and sister a hundred and ten percent,” stated Al-Homsi in an interview conducted by Rebecca Lopez. The bombings killed more than 200 people and injured thousands. EL Hage was given a life sentence.

Timeline & description of activities

On February 25, 2007, Kimberly Suzanne “Asma” AL-HOMSI of Arlington, Texas, and Aisha HAMAD, 50, of Irving, Texas were seen at Love Field wearing Muslim robes and military fatigue pants and “acting suspiciously,” according to officials.

A review of video from airport surveillance cameras showed one of the women obviously apparently pacing off distances at the airport. When confronted by officials, both women stated that they were looking for the Frontiers of Flight museum, and left without further incident. Both women were occupants of a red Honda, according to officials.

On February 27, 2007, the executive director of the airport museum spotted a red Honda parked on the museum property facing the runway at the airport as he was leaving for the evening. Al Homsi was seated on the hood of the car, using binoculars to view the aircraft and various locations on the airport property. The women left the property, but were stopped by Dallas Police a short distance from the airport. Police reported that the women had a digital camera memory cards, binoculars, a flashlight and several lighters on them, but refused when officers asked if they could search their car. They were released after the traffic stop, although the driver of the vehicle was cited by police for not having a front license plate and failing to change her address on her driver’s license.

On March 5, 2006, investigation of that incident sparked a police intelligence bulletin to be issued and distributed among airport and law enforcement personnel. According to reports by WFAA-TV reporter Rebecca Lopez, as information from that bulletin became public, Hamad claims that she has been placed on administrative leave from her job at Outsource Partners International.

As a result of being stopped, detained and questioned, the women are now claiming “they’re being harassed by police and federal agents because of their religious and political views.”

Previous troubles

Kimberly “Asma” Al-HOMSI is on probation for a December, 2005 Garland Road incident involving a fake grenade.

On Dec. 20, 2005, Ms. Al-Homsi was arrested after a motorist reported that she waved a grenade at him while driving Central Expressway near the LBJ Freeway. Richardson, Texas police caught up with her as she was leaving the parking lot of the Brighter Horizon’s Academy in Garland, Texas, a private Islamic academy where she had just picked up her teenage daughter from classes. The Garland, Texas bomb squad was called and ultimately determined that the grenade was inert. During a search of her vehicle, authorities also found ammunition inside the vehicle. She was released the next day, after officials charged her with making a bomb hoax, and was sentenced in June 2006 to 24 months of probation.

Al-HOMSI also admitted to being a trained sniper and having explosives training, and regularly practices her rifle skills with an assault rifle at the Alpine Shooting Range in Fort Worth, Texas.

Claims of discrimination

Aisha HAMAD has never been arrested or charged with any crime, and neither woman has been charged with any crime in connection to their actions at Love Field Airport. As reported by WFAA-TV Rebecca Lopez, despite their activities at Love Field, Aisha HAMAD and Asma Al-HOMSI say they’re being harassed. They claim that for months they’ve been followed and then interrogated by federal agents. Aisha HAMAD claims: “All our rights have been violated since the patriot act came in. All our rights violated.” Adds AL-HOMSI:

“Religious, racial profiling is what it is called. Guilt by association.” “If I didn’t have a scarf on my head and it was a simple road rage [referencing the 2005 incident] I would not be on the terrorism watch list.” Al HOMSI, who is of Syrian descent, also stated: “I don’t like the U.S. Government” and that she is sympathetic to the Palestinian people. Al-HOMSI is reportedly an accountant who has dual Syrian-U.S. citizenship.

The women deny scouting the airport; they say they were simply watching planes for recreation.

Connection to the Flying Imams?

Investigation conducted by Doug Hagmann, director of the Northeast Intelligence Network found the apparent spokesperson of the duo, Kimberly Al-HOMSI is also known as Kimberly al-SAFWEH, and might have been associated with an address in Tucson, Arizona a few years ago - an address, according to this investigation, that is a mere 6 ½ miles from an address possibly associated with Omar SHAHIN, one of the 6 “flying Imams.”

SHAHIN and the 5 other Muslim leaders are at the center of controversy and the plaintiffs of a civil-rights lawsuit against US Airways and the passengers who reported their suspicious behavior. Whether Al-HOMSI and SHAHIN are acquainted with each other remains under investigation by the Northeast Intelligence Network.

Two Muslim women claim “Muslim persecution” after behavior at Dallas airport causes stir

By Douglas J. Hagmann, Director

“This is an attempt to be made as the “female counterpart” to the case of the ‘flying Imams’ in terms of allegations of civil rights violations and illegal profiling.”Douglas J. Hagmann

6 April 2007: First, it was the six attention-seeking Muslim religious leaders whose suspicious behavior resulted in their expulsion from a US Airways flight last November - and a current civil rights lawsuit. Now, it’s two Muslim women wearing military fatigues in addition to their traditional Muslim headscarves, using binoculars and engaged in obvious surveillance activity at Love Field in Dallas who are crying “religious profiling” and the “persecution of Muslim women.”

As reported by WFAA News Channel 8, the incident took place in February when two Muslim women, identified as Kimberly “Asma” Al-HOMSI, 43, and Aisha Abdul-Rahman HAMAD, 50, were using binoculars outside of the fence at Love Field, pacing off distances at the airport, and engaging in other activities “in a manner classic of surveying an area.” Despite their overt suspicious behavior, both women claim that they were simply going to the flight museum and then watching planes take off. They deny they were surveying the airport.

Al-HOMSI was already on the radar of federal authorities and is on the federal “no-fly list” after being involved in an atypical “road-rage” incident. Last December, Al-HOMSI officials said she held up an inert grenade and threatened another driver. When stopped by police, Garland’s bomb squad reported they also found ammunition in her car. Al-HOMSI also admitted that she received assault rifle and explosives training “while growing up.” Nonetheless, they insist that they are being unfairly “profiled” and are the subjects of the persecution of Muslim women.

“If I didn’t have a scarf on my head and it was a simple road rage I would not be on the terrorism watch list.” Al HOMSI, who is of Syrian descent, stated: “I hate the U.S. Government” and that she is sympathetic to the Palestinian people.
