Clinton fundraising ties to terror group

Special investigative report: “Tamils for Clinton”By Douglas J. Hagmann, Director

14 December 2007: On December 4, 2007, we reported that members of the terrorist organization Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), more commonly known as the Tamil Tigers, were arrested in New York for their plot to use stolen credit card numbers and other methods to steal $250,000 in New York “and tens of millions from ATMs worldwide.” One of the men arrested worked three jobs at Newark Airport as a security agent and baggage handler with complete security clearance. The Tamil Tigers are well known for their use and “perfection” of terrorists’ “suicide belts” and vests, and the use of females as suicide bombers as illustrated in our report published earlier this month.

Further investigation conducted by this investigator of Tamil Tiger activity in the U.S. confirmed published reports that at least one well-known supporter of that terrorist organization, 56 year-old New Jersey resident Ramanathan RANJAN is actively soliciting funds for New York Senator and Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton

RANJAN, of New Brunswick, NJ was identified as an approved recipient for funds solicited by Pat PATHMAKUMAR through her e-mail campaign containing “Tamils for Clinton” in the subject line. A fund raising event this week in New Jersey at The State Theater in New Brunswick, advertised on Clinton’s web site, offered potential donors tickets ranging from $100 - $2,300, depending upon seat selection. Although the referral list has been removed from the site, the Northeast Intelligence Network was able to secure a list of referrals that included the names of both RANJAN and PATHMAKUMAR.

Notably, RANJAN was an organizer of “LTTE Heroes Day,” an event that praised and eulogized LTTE terrorists and homicide bombers on December 2, 2006. That event was held in the auditorium at the south Brunswick Middle School in New Brunswick, New Jersey. According to reports of the event, the terror group’s flag was raised as those in attendance sang the LTTE anthem.

RANJAN is noted to be the state coordinator of the Tamil Rehabilitation Organization (TRO), identified by the US State Department as a front organization of the LTTE.

Two California men enter guilty pleas on terror charges

14 December 2007: Two of four men indicted in August 2005 for plotting to attack U.S. military facilities, Israeli government facilities and Jewish synagogues in the Los Angeles area pleaded guilty to terrorism charges today. Kevin JAMES, a/k/a Shakyh Shahaab MURSHID and Levar WASHINGTON, a/k/a Abdur RAHMAN appeared before a court in Santa Ana and pleaded guilty to conspiring to wage war against the United States. Both will be sentenced next year.

In a statement released by Justice Department officials, the third man, Gregory Patterson, a/k/a Bilal, was expected to enter a plea of guilty on Monday to one charge of conspiracy to commit terrorism. The fourth member of the group, Hammad SAMANA, a U.S. resident from Pakistan, was assessed as unfit to stand trial. He is currently receiving psychiatric care at a federal prison, according to the US Attorney’s Office.

According to the indictment, JAMES (MURSHID) founded an Islamic terrorist group in 1997 while incarcerated at California State Prison-Sacramento, and recruited other inmates for the organization identified as Jamâyyat Ul-Islam Is-Saheeh,, or JIS. In 2004, he recruited Levar WASHINGTON. Upon being released from prison, WASHINGTON began recruiting other co-conspirators to plot terrorist acts and commit armed robberies – the latter to fund purchases of firearms, ammunition and explosives.

Beginning sometime about December 2004, WASHINGTON, PATTERSON and SAMANA targeted and conducted Internet research on and surveillance of U.S. military facilities in the Los Angeles area as part of their plot to kill U.S. military personnel. In July 2005, Patterson and Samana allegedly used computers to research military targets in the Los Angeles area, while Samana drafted a document listing Israeli and U.S. targets in Los Angeles. In addition to the U.S. military targets, the co-conspirators specifically targeted Israeli and Jewish facilities in the Los Angeles area, including the Israeli Consulate, El Al and synagogues. They also allegedly engaged in firearms and physical training, in preparation for attacks.

CAIR’s “condemnation” of murder rings hollow

“…CAIR continues to perform their dog-and-pony show for those who continue to be gullible enough to accept their transparent attempts of explaining away the inherent violence within the core of Islamic ideology.” –Douglas J. Hagmann

By Douglas J. Hagmann, Director

13 December 2007: Again, the Canadian Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-CAN), via their American counterpart (CAIR) is being disingenuous if not outright deceptive in their “condemnation” of the murder of 16 year-old Aqsa PARVEZ. They not only fail to address the root cause of her savage murder - allegedly by her religiously devout father, but sully her memory and insult all of the West by attempting to mitigate the circumstances of her murder through a blanket indictment of all of society. They should be ashamed of themselves and their tactics, as should those who readily accept their carefully worded statement of condemnation. Nonetheless, it is business as usual at CAIR and CAIR-Canada.

At issue is the murder of Aqsa Parvez, a young school girl who succumbed to her brutal injuries during the early morning hours Tuesday. Police arrested the girl’s father, Muhammed PARVEZ for her murder and her 26 year-old brother, Waqas PARVEZ for obstruction of a police investigation. The alleged motive was attributed to the father of the girl objecting to her desire to wear Western clothing, and the young girl doing so while in school. Her friends described the Aqsa hastily changing from her loose fitting clothes and hijab into more fashionable attire out of the family view. She would then change back to traditional Islamic garb before returning home.

According to some of Aqsa closest friends, the victim frequently clashed with her family over her reluctance to wear a traditional Islamic headscarf, or hijab, and was becoming increasingly afraid to return home to face the punishment she anticipated. The family emigrated from Pakistan and settled in a suburb of Toronto, where Muhammed PARVEZ continued to be devoted to Islam. The elder PARVEZ, employed as a taxi driver in Toronto, would often stop his cab to pray at the required times and instructed his family to follow the strict doctrine of their beliefs as well. Incumbent in that doctrine are strict instructions on how women must dress while outside of the home.

In an interview with the Toronto Star, Natalie Rance, 14, a friend of Aqsa described her family life: “Her dad wanted her to be a person who followed the religion. But she wanted to follow her own rules, wear her own clothes. But her dad wouldn’t let her do that.”

The fact that the family emigrated from Pakistan and were devout Muslims are two critically important facts necessary to fully understand their societal and investigative impact on this case, as well as CAIR’s apparent refusal to acknowledge the same. Failure to do so, or minimizing their role in the murder of Aqsa Parvez, serves only to obfuscate the essence of this crime.

In an interview with AFP News, Sameer Zuberi, an official with CAIR-Canada indicated that he “is dubious of opinions the girl’s death resulted from a clash of cultures.” He added, “Teen rebellion is something that exists in all households in Canada and is not unique to any culture or background. Domestic violence is also not unique to Muslims.”

That might be so, but it is important to note that Pakistan is a country where nine out of ten Pakistani wives of Muslim men, for example have been struck, beaten, or abused sexually, for offenses that range from failing to produce a male child to poor culinary skills. According to a recent study conducted by the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, such abuses are common among the devout followers of traditional Islamic principles, and encompass all female members of families who adhere to the principles contained in the Qur’an and Hadith. In other words, it is a perfectly acceptable practice to mete out punishment to females by Muslim men within the parameters outlined by Islamic doctrine. And as the study suggests, such practices are indeed conducted with regularity by 90% of the Pakistani Muslims.

Yesterday, CAIR issued a statement condemning “domestic violence” in the context of this murder, indicating that this was the causative factor of this murder. They obviously could not bring themselves to admit that this murder, if the girl’s father is convicted and motive is established, was committed on the basis that violence against women is a contemporary artifact of Islamic tradition. It is also divinely sanctioned within the Qur’an and Hadith as documented by the above-referenced study, and sadly, a common practice among “devout” followers of Islam. Instead, CAIR shamelessly attempted to mitigate the religious and cultural motivation of the alleged murderer - the victim’s father - by stating that domestic violence is “a problem that cuts across Canadian society and is blind to colour or creed.”

Domestic violence is certainly not exclusive to the Muslim population. It is, however, tolerated and accepted as a normal practice in the majority of Muslim countries, and even endorsed by various Islamic scholars as sanctioned by Islam itself.

Compare this, for example, to the numerous scandals that plagued Roman Catholic priests involved in the unsanctioned criminal sexual acts with underage boys and young men. Imagine, if at the very height of the scandal, officials of the Roman Catholic Church issued a statement that pedophilia is a problem that cuts across American or Canadian society and is blind to color or creed. Instead of casually accepting such a blanket statement portrayed as part of a condemnation from Catholic leaders, the media would have been rightfully outraged, and held their feet to the fire. And in that instance, the media did so, even in the absence of such an outlandish and craftily worded statement.

As far as CAIR and Islam are concerned, however, different rules apparently apply.

In their absence of addressing the core issue of Islam’s inherent and sanctioned violence against women, it would appear that CAIR is not being honest with themselves or others. By exhibiting this lack of intellectual honesty and by their apparently purposeful omissions of placing blame where it belongs, it could be effectively argued that CAIR is actually inviting such acts to continue unabated, much like some of the Roman Catholic hierarchy did in the 1970, 80’s and 90’s.

In their statement, CAIR failed to place any of the blame where it squarely belongs - on those who adhere to and practice the fundamental religious and cultural aspects of Islam as sanctioned by the Qurâ’n, the Hadith, and even some contemporary Islamic leaders. Instead, CAIR continues to perform their dog-and-pony show for those who continue to be gullible enough to accept their transparent attempts of explaining away the inherent violence within the core of Islamic ideology.

Will the mainstream media hold CAIR’s feet to the fire for not going far enough in their diluted condemnation of the murder of a young girl allegedly at the hands of her religiously devout father? Will they confront CAIR on the core issues of violence against women that is sanctioned by the religious practices and cultural aspects of Islam? It is more likely that they will continue to accept the sanctimonious and muddled statements from an organization more concerned with agenda than advocacy.

Toronto murder: Sharia, Exhibit 1

By Douglas J. Hagmann, Director

12 December 2007: By all accounts, 16 year-old Aqsa Parvez of the Toronto suburb of Mississauga was a normal teenager - a girl with a zest for life and having all of the hopes and dreams for a bright future in a country that has so much to offer. Today, she lies dead in a Toronto morgue, the victim of a brutal strangulation. Her death was neither quick nor painless – no strangulations are. In this case, however, young Aqsa Parvez lived for a number of long, agonizing hours, lying in hospital desperately clinging to life before her struggle ended and she slipped away.

The two men closest to her in her tragically short life - her father, in whose arms she should have been able to seek love, comfort, and understanding, and her older brother, someone she should have been able to rely upon for protective guidance and refuge in her transition into a young woman, instead betrayed her in the most hideous of ways. Her father, Muhammad PARVEZ, has been charged with her murder and her 26 year-old brother, ”Muhammad” Waqas PARVEZ, was charged with obstructing the police investigation of her murder. Aqsa Parvez’s only crime: she resisted wearing a hijab, or an Islamic head scarf.

Like most young girls her age, Aqsa Parvez loved clothes, and loved to wear western clothing. She was beautiful, but she was also beautifully modest by Western standards in terms of her attire. She “just wanted to fit in,” according to her friends. To her father, a “traditional Muslim” from Pakistan currently employed as a driver for Blue and White Taxi, however, his daughter was an apostate under Islam. His reign of familial oppression was so great that Aqsa would leave home wearing a hijab and loose-fitting clothes, but would take off her head scarf and change into more fashionable clothes at school. Her fear of her father and the threat of his enforcement of Sharia law was so intense that she would then change back before going home at the end of the day.

It was shortly before 8:00 Monday morning when 9-1-1 received a call from “a man who indicated that he had just killed his daughter,” stated a source within the Peel Police Department. When emergency services arrived at the family’s residence on Longhorn Trail in Mississauga, they found 16 year-old Aqsa PARVEZ barely clinging to life. As she was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries, her father looked on. She ultimately lost her battle for life. Today, her father will be brought before a Brampton Court at which time he will be formally charged with her murder. Her brother will also answer to the charges of obstructing a police investigation.

It is doubtful that her tragic death will receive the media attention it deserves. She was not Anna Nicole Smith or some other darling of the media, and did not die at the hands of a stranger or in a mass shooting. She was simply a bright, energetic and strong willed young girl with dreams and desires that were clearly and absolutely incompatible with those of her family’s religion. For having such desires and for betraying Islam, her father allegedly dispensed Islamic justice under Sharia law.

Assuredly, many Muslims and non-Muslims alike will argue that the alleged murderous actions of the girl’s father and the alleged complicity of the victim’s brother are a perversion of an otherwise tolerant and peaceful religion. Islam, in any manner in which it is described, is not only a religion hijacked, but a religion victimized by biased media coverage, we will be admonished. Meanwhile, more murders will be committed in the name of Islam, and more human rights violations will occur absent of any meaningful objection by those who describe themselves as “moderate” Muslims.

Surely, the death of Aqsa Parvez will be lost among the headlines of the forthcoming days, but her death must not be in vain. In open and free societies like Canada and the United States, much can and must be done to protect the most precious among us - our children. It appears that the checks and balances that are in place in our schools and through our laws failed Aqsa. Her friends knew that she was terrified of the punishment that awaited her at home should she be caught unclad in Islamic attire outside of her home.

Sensible reasoning should conclude that it was likely that her teachers, guidance counselor, or any number of other school officials knew or should have known of her abnormal fears. Perhaps they were, but considered it a family or religious matter off limits to their oversight responsibilities, despite the fear Aqsa exhibited. After all, we are not to meddle in a family’s right to practice their own religion - in this case Islam; doing so will undoubtedly bring civil rights complaints and lawsuits by way of organizations like the Council of American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and CAIR-Canada.

What can be done to insure that the death of Aqsa Parvez was not in vain? We must act to protect our children despite our fears of lawsuits, and we must hold “Moderate” Muslims and the groups that purportedly represent them accountable for every day they remain silent and fail to address the excesses of Sharia law. Aqsa Parvez was intimidated, bullied and finally murdered because she challenged the medieval constraints of Sharia law and the Qurâ’nic doctrine. We must have the will and fortitude to place the blame where blame belongs, and must refuse to be bullied into submission. She is the ultimate victim, not Islam, and can no longer speak for herself. Therefore, it is up to us to speak on her behalf.

Shootings at 2 Christian institutions appear related

UPDATE 1; 10 December 2007; 5:30 p.m. A 24 year-old man from the suburban Denver, Colorado area is reportedly responsible for both shooting sprees that occurred at two Christian institutions yesterday. The man has been identified as Matthew MURRAY who was last known to reside with his parents and a younger brother in an upscale home at 10929 East Berry Place in Englewood, Colorado.

According to a law enforcement source, the man professed to “hate all Christians,” and reportedly left a note or letter that he intended to murder as many Christians as possible. According to this law enforcement source, MURRAY “was also in possession of explosive or incendiary devices” during the attacks. The Northeast Intelligence Network is continuing our investigation of these related shootings.

10 December 2007: In the wake of the shooting spree at the Westroads Mall in Omaha, security at malls, stadiums, churches and other locations where people gather was the topic in the first hour of Coast to Coast AM with George Noory last Wednesday. Doug Hagmann, founder and director of the Northeast Intelligence Network, was the guest for that segment which can be downloaded from the Coast to Coast AM web site for Streamlink subscribers.

The prophetic relevance of that show segment was painfully illustrated yesterday as four people lay dead as a result of two shootings at two Christian institutions in Colorado - separated only by 12 hours and 70 miles. According to one Colorado police official interviewed by the Northeast Intelligence Network, the shooting sprees appear to be related - they both appear to be the work of the same gunman, stated the police official.

The murderous events began to unfold about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, when an unidentified man armed with a handgun opened fire at the Youth With a Mission office during a Christmas party, after ostensibly being denied a request to spend the night there. Youth With a Mission is a Christian missionary training center located in Arvada, Colorado, 15 miles west of Denver. According to witness reports, the gunman appeared to purposely engage one of the staff members at the center in an argument that grew heated when he was asked to leave. At some point, the 20-year-old white male, who was wearing a dark jacket and skull cap, drew a handgun and shot a man and woman to death, wounding two others. The gunman then fled on foot, successfully eluding police teams with search dogs. It is reported that his identity was known to some of those in attendance.

About 12 hours later, two people were killed at the New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado, a large Christian church located about 70 miles of Arvada when a gunman armed with a rifle and a handgun opened fire in the parking lot of the church. The gunman, whose description closely matched that of the gunman at the Youth With a Mission center, then entered the main foyer area of the church that was filled with 7,000 worshipers. As the gunman began to make his way through the foyer, he was shot and killed by a member of the church’s armed security staff before police arrived. During the investigation at this location, police found several smoke generating grenades lying near the shooter. Neither the identity nor the motives of the dead gunman have been released by police, and the investigation into both events is continuing.

The Northeast Intelligence Network is following this case closely.

7 December 2007: In the event you missed the news from the UK this week: Overworked nurses have been ordered to stop all medical work five times every day to move Muslim patient’s beds so they face towards Mecca.

“Some people might think it is not that big a deal, but we have a huge Muslim population in Dewsbury and if we are having to turn dozens of beds to face Mecca five times a day, plus provide running water for them to wash before and after prayers, it is bound to impact on the essential medical service we are supposed to be providing.” Complete article.

Arrest of Chicago area businessman suggests large-scale International ID fraud ring

INVESTIGATIVE REPORTBy Douglas J. Hagmann, Director

5 December 2007: A founding board member of the Illinois Trade Council and a member of the advisory committee of the Illinois based All American Bank is currently being held on $3 million bond after police reportedly found numerous fake passports, fake state identification cards, fake social security cards, hundreds of credit cards, over $60,000 in cash and gold bars in his suburban Chicago home.

Mohammed Afzal SODAGAR, 51, 8616 Frontage Road, Morton Grove, IL, a naturalized U.S. citizen from Pakistan was arrested last weekend after police responded to a domestic complaint made by the suspect’s 22 year-old son, Saarum SODAGAR. According to police reports, the suspect’s son called police on Wednesday, November 28 during a heated argument where the elder SODAGAR allegedly threated to shoot his son. Upon searching the suspect’s residence, police found hundreds of credit cards, 11 Illinois identification cards with SODAGAR’S photograph but all under different aliases, at least 36 Social Security cards, numerous gold coins and bars, and more than $60,000 in cash. Police also found 12 different passports from Pakistan, Jamaica and the U.S., each with different names.

Mohammed Afzal SODAGAR
Police found the documents and cash after SODAGAR’S wife consented to a search of the residence for a weapon reportedly used to threaten the suspect’s son. Armed with a search warrant, authorities returned the following day to confiscate the documents and other evidence. Much of the evidence was found inside a briefcase in the bedroom of the suspect’s home.

Suspect’s residence

SODAGAR was charged with 22 counts of felony identity theft is facing charges that include identity theft, possession of phony ID and domestic battery.

Law enforcement sources close to the Cook County investigation told the Northeast Intelligence Network that the investigation is widening to an international level, and that “a number of other suspects associated with SODAGAR are under investigation, including his contacts in Pakistan.” This source added that the suspect is believed to have been active in identity theft for perhaps 30 years, adding that “it is likely that he has been operating internationally, sending money and passports to Pakistan.”

Investigative findings also found that SODAGAR is active in at least two Chicago area Muslim organizations, including the All State Memon Association-Chicago where he is reportedly the founder. He has also been a volunteer at the Morton Grove Muslim Community Center for the past 18 months, according to Yasir ALEEMUDDIN, director of the center. According to an article in the Chicago Tribune, officials* stated that SODAGAR “has held no elected positions with the organization and has had no corporate responsibilities.” Research conducted by the Northeast Intelligence Network, however, found documentation identifying the suspect as the Chairperson, Media Relations and event coordinator for the M.E.C. Masjid expansion project.

At least 8 confirmed dead, 5 wounded in Omaha mall shooting

5 December 2007: Initial and unconfirmed reports of a young male wearing an army-green vest and armed with a rifle entered the Westroads Mall in Omaha, opening fire on holiday shoppers - leaving at least 8 people dead and 5 others wounded. Last Friday, police found a live, intact grenade outside of the same mall. It is unknown whether the two incidents are related.

It was a year ago - almost to the day - that federal authorities disrupted a plan by Talib Abu Salam Ibn Shareef to place grenades inside the CherryVale Shopping Mall in Rockford, near Interstate 90 and Interstate 39, about 75 miles north of Chicago.

The 2007 National Intelligence Estimate on Iranian Nuclear Weapons

Assessment B of the November 2007 NIE clearly states (capitalization added for emphasis): “WE CANNOT RULE OUT that IRAN HAS ACQUIRED FROM ABROAD - or will acquire in the future - A NUCLEAR WEAPON or enough fissile material for a weapon.”

By Sean Osborne, Associate Director, Military Affairs

5 December 2007 After careful analysis most recent unclassified version of the National Intelligence Estimate on Iranian Nuclear Weapons (NIE)submitted to the administration in November, titled “Iran: Nuclear Intentions and Capabilities,” I have made the following assessments:

I can only estimate that this NEI had within its estimation process certain political motivations which garnered more weight than real-world collected intelligence.

This NIE’s “Key Judgements” are a gift to the 2008 Democrat presidential candidates in that they repudiate the continuing intelligence estimates on Iranian nuclear weapons ambitions during the Bush Administration.

This NIE had significant problems well before it went to the government printing office and it will now be assailed mercilessly as a result of those problems.

Let’s look at what places meat on the bare bones assessments I made yesterday.

Political Motivations

The Wall Street Journal printed a editorial which corroborates my first assessment above. Specifically the editorial stated:

-the NIE’s main authors include three former State Department officials with previous reputations as “hyper-partisan anti-Bush officials,” according to an intelligence source. They are Tom Fingar, formerly of the State Department’s Bureau of Intelligence and Research; Vann Van Diepen, the National Intelligence Officer for WMD; and Kenneth Brill, the former U.S. Ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).”

Political motivations - check.

Repudiating Previous NIEs on Iranian nuclear weapons

The WeeklyStandard also references the above WSJ OpEd and also makes a very strong point in quoting Thomas Fingar’s statement of July 11, 2007:

Iran and North Korea are the states of most concern to us. The United States’ concerns about Iran are shared by many nations, including many of Iran’s neighbors. Iran is continuing to pursue uranium enrichment and has shown more interest in protracting negotiations and working to delay and diminish the impact of UNSC sanctions than in reaching an acceptable diplomatic solution. We assess that Tehran is determined to develop nuclear weapons–despite its international obligations and international pressure. This is a grave concern to the other countries in the region whose security would be threatened should Iran acquire nuclear weapons.

Besides the obvious mother of all acrobatic flip-flops by Thomas Fingar, there is one other item I assess to be crucial with respect to any potential temporary Iranian cessation of its nuclear weapons program in 2003.

North Korea.

Iran was a participant and funding partner in North Korean nuclear weapons and delivery systems development. Whatever nuclear weapons projects went on hiatus in Iran during 2003, there were other certainly active weapons research projects occurring in North Korea during this same time period. Additionally there were several reports that Iranian delegations were in the DPRK during the limited-yield nuclear test conducted on October 9, 2006. Nothing like seeing first-hand what yield your investments have earned.

The inherent problems of this NIE are being duly assailed. And it almost goes without mention in the spinning out-of-control MSM that this fatally-flawed NIE states categorically that Iran did and probably still does have a clandestine nuclear weapons program.

Again, this unclassified version of the NIE is one thing. The key judgments which are within the classified version might tell a different story entirely.
