Iran: “A ‘duty’ for Muslims to attack the West,” says editor

29 January 2008: Hossein Shariatmadari, managing editor of Kayhan (Universe) one of Iran’s most influential newspapers, has issued a strongly worded editorial inviting Muslims to topple moderate Islamic governments and attack US, European and Israeli interests.

In the editorial, entitled “The enemy’s shield”, Shariatmadari argues that in Shia or Sunni Islam “It is legal to strike those who protect the enemy.”

The real enemies, says Shariatmadari are “The barbaric Zionists, the ferocious Americans and their European allies.”

“Because of this, we must remove those Islamic regimes that stop Muslims attacking their enemies; that is not only legal, but a duty.”

In the editorial Shariatmadari also stresses the need to attack the ‘atheists’ and the ‘Zionists’, but also emphasizes the high price they will pay for protecting ‘Zionists.’

He says their interests all over the world must be hit.

“Only when the West sees their citizens fall, it may reflect on their support for Zionism.”

Shariatmadari is not considered a journalist with radical Islamist views, or an extremist in Iran’s Islamic hierarchy.

But its newspaper is considered the most conservative in Iran and one that reflects the views of the government.

Legal loophole keeps “next Mohammed Atta” at large

“That the U.S. Department of Justice has failed to issue a criminal warrant for the arrest of “the next Mohammed Atta” is as mind boggling as it is chilling.”

adnan

28 January 2008: When Clarence (Clancy) Prevost, was rewarded $5 million in an unpublicized closed-door ceremony in Washington last week, Adnan el Shukrijumah was likely counting his lucky stars.

“Secretly authorized” by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice last fall, the handsome reward from the State department’s “Rewards for Justice” program is the first and only one to date to a U.S. citizen related to the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Created in 1984, Rewards for Justice has paid rewards to roughly 50 people.

Not only can Adnan el Shukrijumah read, he can read in English.

That news must be a comfort to the man who is second only to Osama bin Laden on the FBI’s Most Wanted Terrorist List.

Prevost’s controversial $5 million payday stems from his being one of three persons to have flagged the government about flying student Zacarias Moussaoui’s strange desire to learn to fly a Boeing 747 with no flying background.

The “hinky” feelings of his flying instructors were well founded. Moussaoui ultimately confessed to being the “20th hijacker” and was sentenced to life in prison without parole in 2006.

What, you might well ask, has this got to do with the elusive el Shukrijuamah, nicknamed by the brotherhood “Jafar, the Pilot”?

Large-scale, coordinated bombings across Europe by Muslim terrorists narrowly averted

Islamic terrorists planned large scale, mass casualty attacks across Europe.

Special investigative report by Douglas J. Hagmann, Director

27 January 2008: Attacks targeting the public transportation systems in Europe by Islamic terrorists were planned “across Europe to take place within the next two weeks,” according to a UK counterterrorism official interviewed early Sunday morning by the Northeast Intelligence Network. “Investigation found the attacks involve as many as two-dozen Islamic terrorists spread across Europe, with an ‘operational presence’ in Great Britain,” stated this source. Speaking on the condition of anonymity due to the constraints imposed by his position, the official stated that the attacks, if successful, would have been “a significant mass casualty event.”

The Targets

According to published reports and unpublished information provided exclusively to the Northeast Intelligence Network by our source in the UK, time coordinated attacks were planned against the Barcelona metro, public transportation in Germany, France, Portugal, and Great Britain. The attacks were planned “to mirror the successes of the Madrid attacks, yet on a much wider and deadlier scale.” Islamic terrorists attacked Madrid commuter trains in March 2004, killing 191 people and wounding nearly 2,000 more.

Subways and passenger trains in at least four European cities, including Barcelona and London were the “number-one target.”

The terrorists planned to dispatch teams of two operates into the subways carrying knapsacks packed with explosives, and detonate the deadly cargo using cell phones. Operatives wearing explosive-laden vests were to detonate their bombs while others remotely detonated the backpacks or carry-ons.

The Plot

The plot was initially discovered by Spanish authorities investigating plans of an attack timed for this week’s visit by Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf. The investigation by Spain’s officials, dubbed “Operation Cantata,” widened as information was obtained through the interrogation of an al Qaeda operative and suspect. The plot originated by Muslim terrorists and al Qaeda members in Pakistan. The homicide bombers and “Barcelona cell” were tracked by authorities as they entered Spain from Pakistan within the previous 30 days.

To date, fourteen Muslim terrorists have been arrested. With their arrest, a large cache of bomb-making material and supplies were seized, including but not limited to liquid nitro cellulous, anti-personnel shrapnel including lead and steel ball bearings, timers, wires, and other tools, and an empty box of Fontein Royal flares. A large amount of Islamic jihad audio and printed material, some downloaded from the Internet, was also seized from the suspects.

According to authorities, four of the suspects initially arrested have since been released due to lack of evidence. The investigation is continuing.

According to the UK official speaking to the Northeast Intelligence Network, the thwarting of this plot most likely “saved thousands of lives.” “It [the plot] was big, extremely well planned and well financed.” More information on this deadly multi-level plot will be forthcoming.

Florida teacher accused of slurring Muslims

Expect the number of complaints like this to rise. From the HeraldTribune and the AP:

26 January 2008: A 16-year-old Muslim student said one of her teachers told a class that all Muslims are terrorists waging war against Americans and Christians, her father said Friday.

Darlene Mahla, a spokeswoman for the Clay County School District near Jacksonville, said an investigation is continuing and no decisions were expected this week on whether the Orange Park High School teacher, whose name has not been released, will face any disciplinary action.

“We are looking into whether what the student said he said is true,” Mahla said.

Ferzani Rajpoot was taking a night adult education class in psychology in an attempt to graduate from high school early, said her father, Mohammed Shadid. He said the discussion began with the teacher talking about the presidential campaign and saying his favorite candidate would keep Muslim terrorists out of the U.S.

Shadid said his daughter told the teacher that she was Muslim and asked if he thought she was a terrorist. Shadid said the teacher did not reply, but turned the discussion to the meaning of the word jihad as “holy war.”

“Three Little Pigs” remake rejected: “offensive to Muslims”

24 January 2008: A digital remake of a long favorite children’s story based on the Three Little Pigs was rejected for a government-backed award because the judges became concerned it would offend Muslims. Judges for the UK Bett awards, backed by Becta, the Government’s technology agency for schools and partner in the annual award for schools, reportedly rejected the digital remake after warning that “the use of pigs raises cultural issues.”

According to the BBC, Becta says that it is standing by the judges’ verdict. “Becta with its partners is responsible for the judging criteria against which the 70 independent judges, mostly practicing teachers, comment. All the partners stick by the judging criteria,” said an unnamed Becta spokesman. Becta runs the awards with the Besa trade association and show organizers, Emap Education.

Anne Curtis, creative director of the digital book, said the idea that pigs in a story could be interpreted as racism was “like a slap in the face”. She added: “To be told we cynically set out to alienate minority groups is narrow-minded.”

American courtrooms: another 21st century battlefield

By Douglas J. Hagmann, Director

22 January 2008: American courtrooms are as much a battlefront in the war against Islamic terrorism as are the volatile, terrorist-filled cities in Iraq and the mountains and caves of Afghanistan. Unfortunately, too few understand the role of our court system as a terrorist weapon of distraction and harassment, and the grave potential consequences to our country.

gavelThe multi-faceted events taking place within our legal system at the hands of rabid, anti-U.S. and anti-war dupes are poised to be as effective as the physical attacks that preceded them. In fact, they could well become insidiously more effective, as the victories of the terrorists and their supporters in this venue do not evoke the same emotional response as seeing planes strike buildings and people jumping to their deaths. And to the Islamic terrorists, so much the better.

At the delight of our Islamic enemies who want to change our system of government and ultimately, our way of life by all possible means, our legal system is being whored out by the politically left-of-center, vocal anti-war crowd who believe that terrorists in our midst are nothing more than fictional boogey-men contrived by an administration that enjoys trampling on the human rights of innocent individuals. How else could you explain the plight of former U.S. Justice Department official John C. YOO, who is currently the defendant in a personal liability lawsuit filed by convicted terrorist José PADILLA and his mother?

PADILLA is the Muslim terrorist convicted last year of offenses that included conspiring to commit murder, kidnapping and maiming, and of providing material support to terrorists. PADILLA and his mother are using our own courts to subvert the war against Islamic terrorists by harassing and attacking the government officials who stopped him from successfully committing terrorist attacks on our own soil in the first place.

Earlier this month, YOO was sued by PADILLA, who is demanding a “declaration” stating that his detention by the U.S. government was unconstitutional, one-dollar in damages, and full recovery of his legal costs, the latter which could be substantial. In a twist of irony, the “legal eagles” behind convicted terrorist PADILLA and his mother are Yale Law School attorneys, and YOO is a Yale Law School alumnus. It would be interesting to hear how donors to the National Litigation Project at the Lowenstein International Human Rights Clinic at Yale Law School would feel to learn that some of their money is being used to fund the case of a terrorist against a fellow alumnus. That aside, there are more potentially severe ramifications if the suit by PADILLA succeeds.

The personal liability lawsuit is an overt attack against the anti-terrorism policies of the United States by political activists who want to sully the judicial system with their leftist views of the war, and inappropriately impose political policy through the courts.

Successful or not, such lawsuits have the potential to adversely affect the efforts of our government officials – those who are truly intent on winning the war in which we are engaged – to the extent that they will be forced to weigh their policy decisions against the possibility of having to personally defend against lawsuits filed by terrorists and their supporters. This is an unacceptable and contemptuous abuse of our legal system.

Armed man with bomb components in pick-up arrested near U.S. Capitol

19 January 2008: A man armed with a shotgun and samurai sword was arrested by the U.S. Capitol Police yesterday as he walked in Lower Senate Park around 1 p.m., heading toward the Capitol building. Michael Steven GORBEY, 38, also reportedly parked a green pick-up truck with a hard bed cover and bearing Utah registration just outside of the secured area around the Capitol, near the Brotherhood of Teamsters building. A search of the vehicle found bomb components, including but not limited to tanks of propane and parts making a detonation device. GORBEY, previously incarcerated on felony charges, was charged by police on one count of illegally possessing a firearm, although the investigation is continuing and more charges are expected.

Research conducted by the Northeast Intelligence Network has confirmed that GORBEY has multiple addresses and a significant criminal record. Our investigation is continuing.

North Americans aiding Hekmatayar: a deadly misunderstanding

By Judi McLeod, Founder & Editor, Canada Free Press & Doug Hagmann, Director, Northeast Intelligence Network

17 January 2008: International terrorist Gulbuddin Hekmatayar, alleged recipient of an approximate $130,000 sent his way by former Kalamazoo-area congressman Mark Siljander, seems to have no trouble finding supporters on North American soil.

Siljander, a former US delegate to the United Nations, was indicted yesterday for his part in an alleged terrorist fundraising ring that is accused of sending more than $130,000 to an al-Qaeda and Taliban supporter who has threatened U.S. and international troops in afghanistan.

“The money, sent to bank accounts in Peshawar, Pakistan in 2003 and 2004, was masked as donations to an orphanage located in buildings that Hekmatyar owned.” (Breitbart.com, Jan. 16, 2008).

Siljander, who represented southwestern Michigan from 1981-87, was charged with money laundering, conspiracy and obstruction of justice, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. He allegedly lied about lobbying senators on behalf of an Islamic charity that authorities said was secretly sending funds to terrorists.

The Islamic American Relief Agency is accused of paying Siljiander $50,000 for the lobbying—money that turned out to be stolen from the U.S. Agency for International Development.

Hekmatayar, who once said that “killing one American soldier is more rewarded by God than killing 10 Afghan soldiers,” owns the Shamshatoo Refugee Camp, home to some 2,000 Afghan refugees about 25 Kilometers southwest of Peshawar. Global Terrorism Analysis, Terrorism Monitor (Volume 5, Issue 10, May 24, 2007) says that both Daily newspapers Shahaadat and Tanweer “are supported from hezb-e-Islami’s stronghold, the Shamshatoo Refugee Camp.”

The “orphans” supported by Hekmatayar, whose North American roots are impressive, are terrorists.

Toronto: Canadian al Qaeda Headquarters

Trial testimony by FBI agent confirms information provided by this agency and Canada Free Press in 2006: U.S. terror suspects met with large Canadian cell and had international ties. Douglas J. Hagmann, Director, Northeast Intelligence Network

By Douglas J. Hagmann, Director

15 January 2008: On 20 July 2006, the Northeast Intelligence Network & Canada Free Press were the first to report that two terror suspects from the U.S., Syed Haris AHMED and Ehsanul SADEQUEE “met with at least three other subjects of ongoing FBI terrorism investigations during a trip to Toronto, Ontario Canada” in March, 2005 “to engage in activities in support of violent jihad.”

ahmed0406On 21 April 2006, we reported the arrest of AHMED (pictured at left), a Pakistani native and mechanical engineering student at Georgia Tech. He resided with his family near Dawsonville before he moved to an off-campus apartment near Georgia Tech, where he lived until his arrest.

During a hearing yesterday involving a motion to throw out the recorded interviews Ahmed gave to investigators, FBI Agent Mark Richards admitted for the first time in any public venue, through his testimony, that AHMED & SADEQUEE ”met with several of the 17 people charged in a June 2006 Canadian terrorism sweep.” The meeting between AHMED, SADEQUEE AND THE Canadian terror suspects took place in Toronto in March, 2005.

The Canadian men have been charged with engaging in terrorism acts including the importation of weapons, plotting various bombings and assassinations, and other acts of terrorism against public officials and facilities.

In addition to meeting with a number of the 17 Canadian terror suspects, AHMED and SADEQUEE conducted videotape surveillance of U.S. landmarks, including the United States Capitol building in Washington, DC, a number of financial buildings, oil refineries and at least one military installation (air base) located in suburban Atlanta, Georgia. The men conducted surveillance of the landmarks and facilities in April, 2005 - after the meeting with the Canadian men.

According to court documents, AHMED and SADEQUEE stated that they wanted to engage in Islamic terrorist operations “to defend Muslims” and to retaliate for “acts committed against Muslims,” Both men pleaded not guilty to a July 19, 2006, indictment charging them with providing material support to terrorists and related conspiracy counts.

Agent Richards testified that the footage taken by Syed AHMED and Ehsanul SADEQUEE were found on a computer belonging to Younis Tsouli, a Moroccan-born resident of the UK man who pleaded guilty in Britain last July to inciting others to commit acts of terrorism.

AHMED, born in Pakistan, was a Georgia Tech student at the time of his arrest. SAQEQUEE, born in Virginia and of Bangladeshi descent, has relatives in the Atlanta area.

The motion hearing is expected to last 2-3 days, although no trial for the terror charges has been scheduled.
