Convicted Terrorist Tied to 9/11 Released From Prison

26 January 2006: A convicted terrorist tied to the September 11, 2001 attacks and convicted in Spain of possession of weapons and explosives, and belonging to a terrorist group was released from prison last week. Najib Chaib Mohamed, serving only half of his eight-year sentence, was freed because the Supreme Court in Spain failed to resolve his appeal in time. He was one of 23 terrorists convicted in a trial in Spain.
