Al Qaeda Terrorist Tarek MEHANNA Arrested by Federal Authorities

21 October 2009: According to federal law enforcement authorities, between 2001 and 2008, Tarek MEHANNA of Sudbury, Massachusetts had actively plotted to kill prominent U.S. politicians formerly in our executive branch of government, and wage violent jihad against civilian shoppers in American malls as well as U.S. troops in Iraq. Today federal authorities arrested MEHANNA on these charges.

MEHANNA has been watched by the FBI for at least the past three years, and was arrested in 2006 for lying about his direct contact with another Al Qaeda terrorist in Somalia. This report from KXAN, Austin, Texas has additional details.
