As Christians worldwide are celebrating Christmas, consider the birth and life of Jesus had it taken place some 2000 years later in America. In a recent column, Constitutional attorney and author John W. Whitehead, founder and president of The Rutherford Institute did just that.
Either way, whether Jesus had been born in our modern age or his own, he still would have died at the hands of a police state. — John Whitehead
As you sip on your holiday eggnog, I ask you to read and ponder the information provided by John Whitehead in this column. Having read and studied the information provided by Mr. Whitehead in his two information-packed books, it is easy for me to see the parallels between then and now.His latest article really drives home the events of the last two decades at the hands of the state here in the U.S., and it is disconcerting to say the least.
In his book Battlefield America: The War on the American People, Mr. Whitehead correctly points out that what Jesus and other “activists” suffered in their day is happening to those who choose to speak truth to power today.
While no one can be compared to Jesus, the circumstances of his actions can certainly be considered within the incrementally oppressive framework of the emerging police state.
Read Mr. Whitehead’s excellent analysis and consider it as you look around 2016 America. Could this be our last Christmas? Think about it.
